Presenting the New TechPowerUp

Welcome to the new TechPowerUp! The new 2016 refresh sees a combination of faster site performance, with a contemporary new design that retains our signature layout, and improves it with a new, eye-pleasing, and extremely readable font; usability improvements for our main content areas such as the front-page, reviews, case-mod gallery, and downloads.

The site-engine has been heavily improved to work better with mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and narrow screens in general. The engine now intelligently rearranges elements on the site to make it more usable with touchscreens, and give you a fully functional experience even on your mobile. The Forums software has also been recently updated, and now supports 2-step verification using Google Authenticator rolling-code. Tell us what you think in the comments section!

Noticed one more issue ... viewing images on TPU in Chrome ... color box plugin has ugly blue border on navigation buttons when focused ...
This can be fixed by adding this to colorbox-v1.css
#cboxPrevious:focus, #cboxNext:focus
{
outline:0 !important;
}

I love TPU but I can't stand the new font. It's too light/thin and too "rounded" which is kind of cartoonish imo....doesn't look good on a professional tech site.

Yeah, android app still broken. I assume it pulled from the site's RSS, which you've changed in this update?

Better, easier to read fonts?

Here I see something ugly and blurry, but then again, my display is just 92DPI.

Guys, you need to understand that not everyone has a QHD 5.5" (over 450DPI) or 28" UHD display (over 150DPI).

They won't do that for the obvious reasons: it's a f***ing fad on the Internet now - if you don't use custom fonts you're a f***ing loser.

There's one beautiful solution to this madness - use uBlock Origin - it can block all custom fonts with just one click.

Meanwhile, if you guys don't want to f*** with our eyes on low dpi screens you can trivially fix it by using appropriate CSS rules, e.g.
@media
(-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.5),
(min-resolution: 144dpi) {
/* HiDPI stuff here, including glorious TPU-* fonts */
}
In fact I beg you to use this rule. Please.

Thanks for the reminder! Much better without the custom font.

Looks good to me..a lot better than [h]'s new format.
Doesn't matter to me anyways.I mentioned to Kyle Bennet how the new [h] is not an improvement and he banned me after 5 years.
TPU at least still feels the same.
[h] kinda went full-retard,anyway.
