EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW Pictured, Too

Hot on the heels of the EVGA GTX 1080 SuperClocked leak, we have the first pictures of its top-tier GeForce GTX 1080 FTW (For The Win). Unlike the GTX 1080 SC, the FTW features a fully custom-design PCB by EVGA, which features a stronger VRM that draws power from two 8-pin PCIe power connectors, instead of one. It features a bigger variant of the new ACX 3.0 cooling solution by EVGA, which is taller, and with larger fans. At this point we don't know the clock speeds of this card, but given the massive overclocking potential of the GTX 1080, they're bound to be very high. Custom-design GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards are expected to be launched very soon, as market-availability of the SKU commences later today.

waiting to hear FTW clocks, SC clocks are already public. FTW locally costs just $10 more than FE card, SC is $30 cheaper. I'll buy FTW card as soon as they are available local, they are already listed, but there is no clocks in the listing, just TBD.

Well, I see that this card has an extra 8-pin connector, which is going to be a very good thing if you can keep the thermals in check. :)

I wonder about that too. That's 375W max power delivery. I don't see how a 1080 can be OCed high enough to even come close to that limit. An 8+6 pin config (300W max) would probably have sufficed.

Still with a DVI port blocking ~40% of the rear exhaust...

It's not a blower card, there is no point of having rear exhaust...

Even these dual fan cards from EVGA, Asus, MSI, etc. blows ~1/3 of the air straight back.

Yeah, because pre-release prices are always a good indicator of... something... I guess.

I think it's typical EVGA to put extra (and often unnecessary) pin connectors on their stuff.

Wow, such an awesome looking card. Still waiting on classified but seeing this card with a custom VRM and design is making me drool.

Can't wait to see it available!

10+2 phase on the FTW edition. $679 at EVGA.com.

Found my next card.

Classified will likely be $699, it has a 14+3 phase design.

I am usually buying Classified cards, but FTW sure looks tempting already. Based on the info we have right now, this is by far best combination of price/factory oc/quality/cooler out of the available dual slot models this time around.

Worthy replacement to my GTX 780 Ti Classified Kingpin.
