AMD Ryzen Motherboards' Packaging From ASUS, Gigabyte, BIOSTAR Leak

We've already covered some upcoming AM4 motherboards from a plethora of companies here, here, and here. Packaging for some of these AM4 motherboards from various manufacturers have now been leaked, with models from ASUS (namely, the X370-based Crosshair VI Hero and Prime X370-PRO); Gigabyte (AORUS AX-370 Gaming 5), as well as BIOSTAR (with two different chipsets making the rounds, the X370 through the Racing X370 GT7 and Racing X370 GT5 models; and the B350 chipset through their Racing B350 GT5 and B350 GT3) making the rounds.
And while books may be judged by their covers, and motherboards aren't necessarily so, the manufacturers know that the packaging is one of the first elements to draw a prospective buyer's attention. To this end, AMD seems to be heavily pushing its Ryzen branding, having apparently instructed the manufacturers to print a small Ryzen logo on all of their AM4 motherboards. Seems like AMD's marketing department has finally woken up to the need of instilling brand recognition and confidence on its customers, and while for us, seeing the Ryzen sticker in yet another product probably doesn't mean much, it represents another marketing hit from AMD towards the average consumer.

Update: New ASRock motherboards have also been leaked, namely, its X370 Killer SLI/Ac and the B350-based AB350 Gaming K4 models.

I'd say the line is definitely anorectic nowadays...

I feel the same! But Asus sometimes releases the top-tier boards well after the NDA lifts so don't lose hope.

12 USB ports on the Crosshair IV... isn't that a bit too ridiculous? How could someone possibly populate that many?

Mouse, kb, speakers, digitizer, headphones, cellphone, ext hdd(7) and that's it for me.

But these 2 are appalling: ASRock's X370 Killer SLI/Ac & ASUS's CVIH; where's ASRock's X370 Fatal1ty Prof. Gaming & (hopefully, supposedly?) Crosshair VI Formula or some such sh1t? I definitely can't see neither of these go into all-out pitch black+blood red category i want the entire setup to be. Gigabyte's mobo is quite horrid too, but these orange LEDs make it more funny & less appalling then the pair i mentioned above. (don't even mention that X370GT7 to me - you'll only witness excessive use of profanity/swearing=not good now, is it? lol)

I'm actually hoping that the Crosshair Formula/Extreme is all black or black w/ shades of grey. I want all the color in my build to only come from the rgb lighting.

Pitch black + either blood red, or if it lacks say red RAM & PCIe x16 slots LED RGB lighting in various key areas, i mean look:

Red VRM heatsinks + LED RGB lighting. That's X370 Fatal1ty Prof. Gaming btw. :) And even tho the pair of PCIe x16 slots are grey, they actually come in unison with socket. A f***ing masterpiece. I definitely see myself go ASRock route if ASUS won't come out with something that looks similar to this, i can see myself having that mobo inside my build. :toast:

That's not bad looking board but I'm just tired of choosing between the only two real options we have today, red/black or blue/silver. I'd be all over the Aorus if it wasn't so plain looking or made by gigabyte.

Pitch black + blood/RGB red for me cause of HAF X's layout, but yeah i'm with you on that one. :) What can i say, Crosshair V Formula-Z & (subsequently) ASRock's Fatal1ty 990FX Killer spoiled me - anything else is of no significance for me. Also, almost forgot - there's TUF Sabertooth variant for both Intel & AMD & the Intel-based ones come in all-out black + LED RGB red or all color gamut of Aura RGB. Gotta be the same for X370/AM4, right? :)
