Corsair Announces the GLAIVE RGB Gaming Mouse

CORSAIR, a world leader in enthusiast memory, PC components and high-performance gaming hardware, today announced the immediate availability of the new CORSAIR GLAIVE RGB gaming mouse. Combining the latest in precision 16,000 DPI optical sensor technology with unmatched comfort thanks to its trio of interchangeable thumb grips and contoured shape, GLAIVE RGB adapts to players' gameplay and grip, delivering a new level of comfort and precision.

When it comes to gaming mice, there is no one-size-fits-all. GLAIVE RGB combines a sweeping contoured shape with three interchangeable magnetic grips, allowing it to adapt in seconds for a customized fit. Choose between smooth curves, a rubberized grip or a wide thumb rest to find your peak comfort, with each grip sculpted to put GLAIVE RGB's six programmable buttons within easy reach.
Equipped with the latest in ultra-high precision 16,000 DPI optical sensor for pin-point tracking and accuracy, GLAIVE RGB has the performance to match its comfort. A custom PMW3367 gaming grade optical sensor, developed for CORSAIR in partnership with PixArt, allows gamers to set sensitivity anywhere between 100-16,000 DPI native resolution in single DPI steps for the ultimate in precision sensitivity tuning. Save up to five DPI settings, switch between them at a touch of a button and keep an eye on sensitivity with a dynamic DPI display - a glance is all it takes to know if GLAIVE RGB is set for high-speed twitch response or pixel-perfect accuracy. OMRON left and right mouse switches continue the commitment to performance, with ultra-fast response and industry-leading reliability rated to 50 million clicks, while an ultra-fast 1000Hz/1ms USB refresh rate ensures every move and click registers when it counts; instantly.

With three-zone programmable dynamic RGB lighting, GLAIVE RGB lights up the desktop as players light up the scoreboard. With logo, side bar and front lighting zones customizable in Corsair Utility Engine (CUE), choose from a host of amazing preset lighting profiles, download hundreds of user-created lighting schemes, or synchronize the lighting with any CORSAIR RGB keyboard to make the mouse your own. CUE also unlocks in-depth macro control, allowing any of GLAIVE RGB's six buttons to be fully remapped, not just to mouse or keyboard commands, but to complex multi-function macros. What's more, DPI, macros and lighting profiles are all stored in GLAIVE RGB's onboard memory, making them accessible from any PC without the need to install software, so GLAIVE RGB is ready to play as soon as you are.

It irks me so much that practically all mice only have two side buttons(except for mmo's). The Logitech g700/s have 4 on the side, and it's freaking amazing. Why can't more manufacturers actually do some "innovation" and make something thats actually different.

Bwahahahahaa disqualified right there. Next: gamers that tell you that one DPI difference gave them an advantage in gaming.

I'm gonna start calling these products Placebo Mice.

Wish it was wireless. The logitech G602 is fantastic and I will probably use it for the foreseeable future.

Because a lot of these mice are marketted for competitive gaming. . No one wants a mouse with buttons everywhere for that type of gaming.

I wonder if this mouse is named after the csgo player GLAIVE. The in game leader for Astralis.

Good eye!

Unfortunately, it was not. Otherwise, their face would be all over the box. :p Even then, we named our MMO mouse Scimitar and not Bajheera.

Could you prove that it wouldn't? ;)

Wouldn't you like a mouse that allowed you to fine tune it to your preference with this level of granularity? I know I would!

That's not how it works, that is how people defend their religion and it makes just as little sense :)

Blame it on my allergy to marketing fluff ;) Sorry.

*click my system specs and you'll see a list of primarily no-nonsense components, too. Especially the mouse, one that does what a gaming mouse should do and lives well on that reputation alone. Corsair could take it as an example. Most of the time, in my philosophy, less is more. And I know for a fact that you too, as a rep, see the irony of all the bells and whistles, you even made a nice video around RGB filled with that.

Rocket Jump Ninja on youtube reviewed the mouse. I have to agree it would be a better mouse if it were smaller, lighter weight and the side buttons werent so indented in respected to the thumb rest on the side.

JetsterI'm so done with rgb
but why though? RGB is so versatile you can change the color scheme if your setup on the fly without needing to buy new stuff. Seems a win/win to me. I really don't get people's beef with it

Edit: because im a pleb with spelling on a phone.

RGB's a nice to have, in some places. But not everywhere - and you're right, if its fully customizable I can't see the issue.

It's just the paying for something I never use not to mention they look like a toy. I will say I like the pulsating G on my G502. But I could live without it.
