In addition to new PC cases, PSUs, and peripherals, Corsair also brought an updated version of the NAUTILUS RS AIO CPU cooler and new RS-R ARGB fans to the Computex 2025 show. The company is also announcing its new RS-R ARGB fans.

The new NAUTILUS RS LCD AIO CPU cooler is an upgrade to the NAUTILUS RS series launched last year, and were a mainstream offer from Corsair, at least compared to the iCUE-based AIOs. It uses a convex cold plate, and features a 2.1-inch IPS LCD screen, which you can use to display images, GIFs, or system information, all via Corsair's own iCUE. Corsair also announced the NAUTILUS LCD RS Module, a drop-in upgrade for any NAUTILUS RS or NAUTILUS RS ARGB Series AIO cooler. Corsair Comments on GeForce RTX 50-series "Missing ROPs" Controversy, Identifies One Customer Return

Last month, TechPowerUp was heavily involved in the identification of missing ROPs across newly released GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards. NVIDIA, board partners and system integrators have (largely) acknowledged these issues. Certain companies have initiated the processing of customer returned units, but a pre-built PC specialist—CyberPowerPC—revealed a more proactive approach when dealing with less-than-pedigree hardware. Corsair has weighed in on the matter, since its ORIGIN and Vengeance businesses are involved in the building and sale of modern gaming rigs. A company rep—CorsairLucky—provided some insight on their official subreddit: "upon learning of this issue, we immediately implemented a thorough review of the detailed production reports for each system shipped to date. Matching the expected breadth of this issue, we have identified only one customer with an affected GPU and are actively working with them to provide a replacement."

Team Green posits that only 0.5% of released "Blackwell" GPU-based products are affected, Corsair's statement also refers to this percentage statistic. Several media outlets have posited that NVIDIA has produced a "conjectured" figure—in particular, the claimed 0.5% stat was questioned by Gamers Nexus. According to VideoCardz's inside track, NVIDIA's launch of GeForce RTX 5070 cards was delayed due to a number of factors—including lower than expected ROP counts. Earlier today, Team Green confirmed that its GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition launch window has been pushed into "late March."

Grand Theft Auto VI PC Version's Early 2026 Launch Mentioned During Corsair Investor Call

Under normal circumstances, Grand Theft Auto VI-related leaks have emerged from nefarious sources. Mid-February news reports have pulled information from an unlikely, yet fairly legitimate announcement. GTA franchise fans would not expect a leak to emerge from a company dealing in peripherals, but Corsair Gaming's Ronald van Veen disclosed a slightly surprising prediction during a recent company call with investors. The organization's financial VP believes that incoming AAA-blockbuster title will launch on PC mere months after an exclusive debut on home gaming consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series). Famously, Rockstar Games reserves a sizable time gap between its console and PC rollouts. An official statement—made back in December 2023—revealed a potential repeat of this release cadence; PC-bound GTA players feared another agonizing two to three year wait.

During an earnings call, Corsair's finance chief discussed the impact of high-profile franchises: "in terms of new games, I mean, there's been a steady stream of games. What we really haven't had for the last year or two is what we could call a 'Fortnite moment' or 'PUBG moment.' So, people are typically playing older games. And I think for our component business and for people looking at new cards, obviously, that tends to depend on new games that are super demanding that you need high-performance graphics in order to get 60 frames a second...If you actually look at the numbers across the last five years, peripheral sales are substantially up, like 50% or 60% up compared to pre-COVID. So, more people are gaming, but not all are gaming on new games. The activity around PC builds or gaming PC builds is roughly on par with pre-COVID now....GTA VI is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we'll get a glimpse of that, I think, later in the year for console. My understanding now it's going to come out in the fall for console, and then early 2026 for PC." Take-Two's CEO—Strauss Zelnick—believes that Grand Theft Auto VI will boost consoles sales upon launch.

Corsair Announces Planned Retirement of Founder and CEO Andy Paul and Appointment of Thi La as Company's Next CEO

Corsair Gaming, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRSR) ("Corsair" or the "Company"), a leading global provider and innovator of high-performance products for gamers, streamers, content-creators, and gaming PC builders, today announced the planned retirement of Andy Paul, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, from the company and its board effective July 1, 2025. As part of the planned transition, the board of directors appointed Thi La, currently Corsair's President and Chief Operating Officer, as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2025.

Ms. La, an experienced leader in the computer and gaming industries, joined Corsair in 2010, and played an instrumental role in growing Corsair from a $300 million company to where it is today. In December of 2021, La was appointed a member of Corsair's Board of Directors. She has served as Chief Operating Officer since August 2013, and President since January 2021. From May 2010 to August 2013, she held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of the gaming PC component unit. Before her tenure at Corsair, La was Vice President of Global Operations and IT at Opnext, Inc., and the North America Consumer PC Product Line Director at HP, responsible for over $3 billion in revenue.
