AMD Raven Ridge Zen-based APU Spotted on SiSoftware, Graphics may be Vega-based
An AMD Raven Ridge APU masked by a code name has been spotted on the SiSoftware benchmark database, showing a few details about what we can expect from upcoming Zen-based APUs. Being Zen-based is not the only interesting tidbit about this chip however, it appears highly likely the chip is sporting a Vega based integrated graphics solution. The sample spotted on SiSoftware identifies itself as a 4 core 8 thread part, with 3.0Ghz base clocks and 3.3 GHz boost clocks. We do not know whether the chip is a mobile or desktop part. If you decode the usual code name scheme, it identifies as a mobile part, but its clock rate is unusually high for that.
If earlier rumors are to be believed, AMD should launch mobile Raven Ridge based parts in the second half of this year, so this could be that we are simply dealing with a highly clocked mobile part. If so, that's rather impressive for the mobile market. Obviously, this chip would not compete with Ryzen Zen-based chips in CPU performance, but it still would be rather impressive for a laptop/mobility solution, theoretically speaking.

Having said that, Zen based APU plus Vega based IGPU + DDR4 3200 will mean a decent one-chip all-in-one gaming rig.
Quit cutting my Vega with this Raven Ridge junk! I need clockspeeds, GTX comparisons, release dates, sku configurations.
You try passing this APU crap on me again tomorrow and there will be heck to pay.
Interesting how that one sample shows up as a different platform, the AMD Tambourine in one table, and the AMD Mandolin, in another.
On the subject. I'd like to see that Vega APU running(if it is VEGA). I really consider buying an APU based rig just to get a low cost PC for simple tasks. I hope this will be low cost APU and that's AMD's plan?
Women's thighs w/ mini skirts & thigh socks are the best. It's not porn. There is nothing too wrong about it. It's just showing thighs, yet the wild imagination that comes with it is massive.
It is also called "The absolute zone".
The APUs "should" be Vega, but I would be quite happy even with a Polaris IGP, CGN is excelent at low TDPs.
And, they will have a simpler cheaper ccx, which only caters to half a ryzen - a single 4C zen core unit with a single 4MB block of L3 memory - the basic lego block for AMDs zen cpu products.
Certainly it isn't going to have a high performance video segment. I'd love to see one that performs at the RX 450 level at least, in a low power envelope for laptops.
