MSI Intros the MAG Pylon Tempered Glass Case

MSI today introduced the Gaming Series MAG Pylon, an ATX mid-tower case characterized by tempered glass panels, and MSI Mystic Light RGB readiness. The case features 4 mm-thick tempered glass making up both its left and right side panels, and front panels. The rest of the case is made of 0.6 mm-thick SECC steel. Under the hood is a conventional horizontal dual partition layout. The upper main compartment serves up room for graphics cards up to 37 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 16.5 cm in height.

The bottom compartment is completely enclosed from the left side, and has an RGB LED-illuminated MSI Gaming logo near the PSU bay. Storage features include two 3.5-inch drive bays in the bottom compartment, which can each hold 2.5-inch drives; and four 2.5-inch drive mounts behind the motherboard tray. Cooling includes three 120 mm or two 140 mm front-intakes, with three factory-fitted 120 mm RGB LED-lit fans; two 140/120 mm top exhausts, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. Front panel connectivity includes two each of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0/1.1 ports, and HDA jacks. The company didn't reveal pricing.

There needs to be some kind of a ban on this kind of computer cases today.
Front fans are just for show and this filter looks so cheap it gives me nightmares

There's actually a gap in the side between the front glass and the case it you look closely. That said, these cheap ugly cases with a glass side and front panel adds nothing in terms of value to an already overcrowded case niche that'll most likely be out of fashion within six months.

Oh boy it's this case again. We already know the OEM for this one, MSI just slapped their branding on it...boring design IMO.

If all copycat cases were banned, with or without nightmare-inducing filters, there would be very few left to choose from. It's all about choice, after all. Suckers will buy this case to advertise their choice of components, or maybe they think their MSI board will "fit better". Everyone else will avoid this case, because it's exactly the same as 100 others, except with shoddier build quality (if I know MSI). Choosing the right case is the hardest part of the build, so many choices, so many reviews to read.

They even managed to place a dust filter in front of the 2mm crack on the side, perhaps to stop all the dust coming through the tempered class?

Today's case trends make no sense at all; no airflow and oversized AiO watercoolers…

Glass might be the one of the worst materials for a case.

Heavy, hot, dangerous to transport, not good if you have kids or pets or if the comp is anywhere where it can get smashed...

I get it for a side window, but having front and both sides glass is a little much.

Just look at the back of this case and it tells you everything: this is a budget, el cheapo piece of junk with some glass and branding slapped over it.
