ASUS Intros Designo MX279HE Monitor

ASUS introduced the Designo MX279HE monitor for those who need a beautiful-looking 27-inch monitor on their desks without breaking the bank. This Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) monitor features slim bezels on three sides, with a brushed aluminium applique, and a metallic stand. Beneath the screen is an AH-IPS panel with LED backlight illumination that has TÜV Rheinland-certified flicker-free brightness control, and blue-light reduction; 178°/178° viewing-angles, 5 ms response time, 250 cd/m² maximum brightness, and dynamic mega-contrast ratio. Available now, the MX279HE is priced around 250€.

250 Euros = ~USD302. Sounds "affordable" alright...

1. No freesync, at least not mentioned here.
2. 27" seems to be too big for 1920x1080 resolution. At this size i would expect 2560x1440.
3. Price is too high for a fairly basic and oversized screen.

Whether for gaming or for aesthetics, no more 1080p for me. I've moved on to 1440p. This is nice and will definitely be just fine for many people though.
