Cooler Master Expands V Series Platinum Power Supply Family

Cooler Master created the V series of power supplies a few years ago. Up to now, the long-running series only had one 80 Plus Platinum certified model in its lineup, the Cooler Master V1200. However, Cooler Master is keen to expand on the series's success and bring at least three new 80 Plus Platinum certified models to the market. Now available in capacities of 850 W, 1000 W, and 1300 W, the upcoming power supplies carry features like a full-modular design, DC-DC technology, full-bridge LLC resonant converter, Thermal Regulation Mode (TRM), and a double ball bearing fan. The Cooler Master V850, V1000, and V1300 are backed by a 10-year warranty.

If they are built by Seasonic like my V1000 then they will be great. Otherwise run away, Cooler Master support is the worst in the industry.

"Cooler Master says the new V line will consist of five members, with capacities ranging from 650W to 1300W. The 650W and 750W models will be manufactured by Chicony, and their efficiency ratings will be 80 PLUS Gold and ETA-A on the Cybenetics scale. The three high-capacity units will be based on a Delta Electronics platform, and will have 80 PLUS Platinum and ETA-A efficiency certifications. This is a slightly modified version of the same platform used in the Antec HCP-850/1000/1300 PSUs. The new V series PSU will be released somewhere in Q4. "

I have V1000, and it is a great PSU, on Seasonic KM3 platform. Rated gold, hits platinum at mid load. I don't like CM either, but I bought V1000 because it was cheaper than Seasonic version. KM3 was Seasonic's best platform brfore the Prime series.

Much better than Enhance or Chicony, Delta quality is legendary. I would buy one of these.

Stop the press Cooler Master actually snapped out of their old habits and picked an OEM that is NOT Enhance Electronics
Been a long time since i have seen anyone other then Antec use Delta because of how much they overbuild stuff which means very high quality but also really expensive
