Acer ConceptD Monitors for Creators Now Available

Acer America announced today that its new 27-inch ConceptD monitors are now available in the United States. These monitors were designed for creators, including graphic designers, filmmakers, architects and engineers. The ConceptD CP7271K P and ConceptD CP3271K P support creative professionals with the premium performance required for color-critical and graphic-intensive projects.

Color accuracy, resolution and the ability to work with HDR content are top priorities for creative professionals who need a monitor that can display finely detailed design concepts and 3D content. Those who work with video require a high refresh rate, critical for ensuring blur-free images.
Tested and calibrated to achieve a very low Delta E<1 rating, the new ConceptD Series monitors provide remarkable color accuracy. They're also PANTONE Validated, featuring integrated color correction and superior fidelity for reproducing PANTONE Matching System (PMS) colors. Both new models boast an IPS 4K UHD panel for the clearest possible images and wide 178 degree viewing angles to support collaboration with others. Achieving up to 93 percent of the DCI-P3 international color standard used by directors and producers, these new monitors deliver smooth transitions and fine shades, making them ideal for film and video editing. VESA DisplayHDR certification supports realistic, natural images through an expanded contrast ratio and color palette. It lets designers create images with superb brightness and contrast thanks to darker blacks and whiter whites with greater depth and shadowing.

A built-in ambient light sensor provides a consistently comfortable visual experience by automatically measuring the brightness of the environment and adjusting the backlight accordingly. For finding the best angle, an ergonomic stand offers -5 to 35 degree tilt, +/- 360 degree swivel and up to 7.08-inch height adjustment. A light-shielding hood with a removable top panel helps block ambient light, so colors are seen accurately. It also reduces glare, helps relieve eye fatigue, and provides some privacy for confidential projects. Two 4 W speakers deliver quality audio.

The ConceptD CP7271K P is built to satisfy the most graphic intensive tasks, including artificial intelligence, 3D modeling and animation, making it ideal for 3D animators, special effects engineers, industrial designers and architects. Its impressive wide color gamut covers 99 percent of the AdobeRGB and 93 percent DCI-P3 color spaces. Thanks to NVIDIA GSYNC Ultimate and DisplayHDR 1000, the highest HDR rating, it offers supreme image quality with up to 1000 nits brightness, stunning contrast and cinematic color. NVIDIA G-Sync Ultimate also makes it an excellent gaming monitor, ideal for professionals who want a monitor for work and play. Featuring a fast response time of 4 ms G2G, it delivers ultra-smooth motion scenes and shortens the time it takes for frame rendering. As for connectivity, it's outfitted with HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and a USB 3.0 hub (1 up/ 4 down).

Thanks to a very fast response time of 1 ms VRB and G-Sync Compatible, the ConceptD CP3271K P delivers remarkably smooth moving images, making it perfect for media influencers, video editors, web designers and photographers. It provides a wide color gamut of 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. Featuring DisplayHDR 400 support, it also projects excellent color accuracy and image clarity. It comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and a USB 3.0 hub (1 up/4 down) for connecting to PCs and peripherals.

Pricing and Availability
The new monitors are available at resellers with prices starting at $1,299.99 MSRP for the ConceptD CP3271K P and $2,199.99 MSRP for the ConceptD CP7271K P.

I love how every cheap monitor maker boasts about "color critical" nowadays, yet not one has managed to get panel uniformity under control for 27" monitors (let alone 32"+) and every single one uses a lame HDR implementation with a few dimming zones that will brighten up a lot more than it's actually needed in practice.

Sounds promising but boy do they need a new copywriter to write their press releases.
