Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT NITRO+ Special Edition Pictured

Here are some of the first pictures of a new "Special Edition" or SE variant of Sapphire's premium Radeon RX 5700 XT NITRO+ graphics card. The card introduces a higher factory-overclock than the original NITRO+, including a memory overclock, and a cosmetic change. To begin with, the NITRO+ SE ships with 14.4 Gbps overclocked GDDR6 memory, whereas the original NITRO+ sticks to the reference 14 Gbps.

Sapphire also dialed up the maximum engine boost frequency to 2035 MHz (vs. 2010 MHz on the original NITRO+). Sapphire also gave the card a cosmetic update. The three fans now come with transparent impellers that are illuminated with their own four RGB LEDs, each. The Special Edition will be a limited SKU, available in select markets from November 15, priced above the original NITRO+, at 520€ (including VAT).

Totally
Feeling a bit annoyed this news comes 3 days after I got mine until I saw that $125 price difference. Nothing a $30 add-on and a bios flash can't resolve.

I could complain but I like the look of the normal Nitro+ tbh, plus that price hike o.O

I really like Saphhire... But i don't get this.
No RX 5700 XT should cost that much, no matter how good its cooler is. This makes no sense

For that much money, I prefer to buy the RTX 2070 SUPER.
Later, you can upgrade it to SLI and get a good 4k gaming system, but the RADEON 5700XT has already used 4 cores in the design and cannot be upgraded to CF. For budget PC it is too expensive .

Seeing how sapphire used quick disconnects you could probably order replacement fans from SE and fit them onto your regular sku.

As for price, this is only €20 over the regular sku. In US this wouldn't translate to $125 difference since EU price includes VAT. This will probably end up costing $20 extra over regular sku in the States.

I really loved Sapphire's nitro version in rx 570, 580. Was hoping they would keep the same style but they did not. Still Pulse version is very good and the other one is red dragon from powercolor. So RedDragon and Pulse would be my go to cards from AMD lineup this year.Red Dragon will be first choice though.

Damn... And my Sapphire 5700xt Nitro+ is being delivered this week... Though I don't think I'd be willing to pay that much more for the special edition

Assuming they'll have it in stock soon? Why not.

I wonder; does this come with the Liquid Vapor Chamber as well, to help with cooling? Sapphire's Vega LE editions had the LVC that was omitted on the non-LE editions of their Nitro+ Vegas.

All common sense is out the window with these products lately. And it won't stop either, companies have to have sometthing to differentiate them if they all sell the same stuff. And the lack of performance progress just comes on top of that too - 90% of all cards are yesteryear's performance.

I guess sales are better than expected for a Sapphire to create yet another more expensive SKU.

Why even consider this when the 2070 super safely scoots by, heck even uaed 2080s are going for around that price. And you get Ray tracing, better thermals, driver support and additional performance to boot

And the cheaper 2070 supers probably still have better temps and less cooling requirements
