Antec Releases Phantom Gaming Edition Striker Chassis

Antec Inc., leading provider of high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself market, are announcing the new Striker Phantom Gaming Edition, at MSRP 249.99 USD. It will be available on Amazon & Newegg this week. As the name reveals, Antec partnered up with ASRock, who own the Phantom Gaming Brand.

Striker will feature a "Phantom Gaming Alliance" compliant style that matches the design with the motherboard and graphics card of ASRock "Phantom Gaming". The logo of "Phantom Gaming" will be decorated on both sides of the side panels.
Striker is designed for custom water-cooling enthusiasts. Characterized by its irregular shape, unique form and innovative structure, Striker is the first open case featuring a front-placed VGA design, ITX form factor and bold styling. Shaped into a spectacular open-air frame, Striker measures 420 mm x 230 mm x 410 mm and comes with a front GPU mount. Located on the right side, the front access includes a Type-C 3.1, 2x USB 3.0 ports, HD Audio and power button.

The Mini-Tower is composed of 4 mm tempered glass panels and lets the user show off his build. The aluminium and steel structure adds to a quality finish and durability. The open frame provides great thermal performance and gives enthusiasts a good challenge. Users can install up to 2x 120 mm fans and 1x 240 mm radiator at the side and rear for extreme cooling, with open space to build the ideal water-cooling system. The chassis accommodates a GPU of up to 330 mm, a power supply with maximum length of 160 mm and offers 45 mm space for cable management. A PCI-E riser cable is already part of this awesome package. Thanks to the 90 degrees motherboard rotation, users will find plenty of space to hide the cables in the bottom of the chassis.

I'll admit I kind of like it. It looks wild. And I have never had a dust problem somehow. I keep my house pretty clean though. My problem is the fur from my Siberian Husky, that stuff is floating around everywhere.

It looks fine to me, missing a sturdy handle though.

Did you see the price? I missed it earlier somehow haha. I'd rather buy something else for $250.

How is this any different than the original case, besides superficial labels? It didn't specify any substantive differences in the press release.

I can understand the pain, I had German Spitz(passed away 3 years back) and I still used to find her hair around even in PC for 2 years.

I always comment from a platonic point of view :D . $250 on a PC case, I'd never spend that much. Only company that can tempt me even remotely is if Silverstone brings back a revised version of FT02, but not what they showed this year.

I miss the innovation that Antec used to bring to the market ....

Alternate PSU Form factors
Storage components back planes
Front of case accessible Hot Swap Drive bays
Removable dust filters that did not require opening case

Be nice to see someone other than Phanteks thinking outside the box. And I mean not in aesthetics, just feature wise. I'm not a fan of aggressive styling

I'll never understand why companies release images of a white product on a white background and vice-versa. Very stupid. I'm surprised the photographer doesn't speak up lol

Spring and Fall must be HELL for your poor vacuum cleaner. Or do you just say "screw it!" and use a leaf blower to blow all the fur out the front door?

(To those wondering, Sibes do something called "blowing coat" twice a year -- usually in the spring and again in the fall -- and what that basically means is get ready to find big tufts of fur in your house. Everywhere. No area of your house is safe from it :fear: )

I have mostly hardwood floors so it's a lot of sweeping haha. I do vacuum my area rug almost everyday and I'm surprised the vacuum hasn't burned up yet haha.

The fur isn't the bad part either, he likes to destroy everything outside the house

Thoughts on Alta F1 and, to a lesser extent, Seta A1?

I’m surprised to see Silverstone move away from the AP18x.
