Chieftronic by Chieftec Announces Powerup Series PSUs

Based on the success of the POWERPLAY-SERIES Chieftronic is adding new Gaming Power Supply Units to its portfolio and is not just expanding its assortment, but also enhancing its market position in doing so. The units of the POWERUP-Series combine high technical quality with strong performance, due to high power density technology and fully-modular cable management, into one compact product that is suitable for a variety of different tower systems.

This compactness, in combination with 80 PLUS GOLD certified efficiency and wattages of 550 W, 650 W, 750 W and 850 W, makes the PowerUp-Series ideal for the introduction to the mainstream gaming market. The total length of just 14 cm enables the ATX 12 V power supply units to be built into smaller chassis, but also into big tower-systems, due to long, flat cables of 65 cm length whilst the modern color-scheme of the PSU as well as the innovative and unique shape of the fan grill allow the perfect combination with different case builds.
The newest full-bridge LLC and DC-to-DC technologies lead to low ripple values and tight voltage regulation, so that the system is always reliably und efficiently supported with the appropriate amount of power.
Chieftronic grants a five-year warranty on all products of the POWERUP-Series.

ObiFrostPretty much any brand has garbage units all around. Shall I include early batches of G3 or will you desperately defend EVGA? Or S12 from SeaSonic or something else?
I think you massively misunderstand what constitutes a "garbage unit."

I think you aren't following feedback closely. Early (not current) batches of G3 had underperforming protections.

No, I completely knew what point you were trying to make. My point is you are using it wrong.

And true "garbage units" literally explode at their rated specs. That"s the grade we are talking.

Potato, apple. It's not the same at all.

Vya DomusFUD and a whole lot of drivel.

You can look up reviews, even the ones in TPUs database, most of things they make are decent.
No it's not.

No they aren't.

Simple as that. By far, the majority of their products over the course of the companies existence have been junk. Yes, they have a few good products, mostly in the distant past, but to say "most of things they make are decent" just basically eliminates any credibility your statements might otherwise have had.

dirtyferretchieftec uses mostly sirtec (aka highpower and whatever other name they use now) and CWT as their OEM. I mostly remember Sirtec making mediocre PSU for OCZ. CWT is huge, I believe they are the largest after market PSU OEM out there so they run the gamut from budget to excellent. My guess is those are CWT units but as earthdog stated you need a review before you can say anything about them with certainty.

FYI, at one time chieftec used Delta although I highly doubt those are delta units. (just noticed Frick mentioned this as well :))

if I had to make a bet based on their warranty, specs, and past OEM...it's the CWT GPS platform (think Deepcool ST, Montech Gamma II, and Thermaltake Smart DPS G). Now that doesn't mean the parts are similar to any of those units.
So close it ends up being the CWT GPX platform. Aris says it's capable but nothing special. I think I should get a half medal for my prediction.

Dirtyferret, you get a full medal for having the best signature ever seen on any forum in terms of creative originality. So there is that.
