Midway accused of plagiarism by screenwriter, sued for 1.5 million USD
Anyone remember Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy? If not, it was a promising game with good reviews that didn't exactly do too well in the retail market. It seemed to be all but forgotten, until a screenwriter noticed strange similarities between his work (titled Psi-ops) and the previously mentioned game. Accusing Midway of plagiarism, the man is suing for $1.5 million USD. Midway has not commented on this situation.

he ripps them off big time snake pliskin is kurt russel in escape from newyork which came out before metal gear. kojima uses both the names snake and pliskin in the metal gear series.
and the character is the same prety much in both. just something i noticed a while ago. and in the escape from newyork movie and escape from la snakes entrances are stealthy into the city
and the theme of a place like the newyork in escape from newyork is just like outer heaven only its convicts, and outer heaven is mercs.

"I don't know anything about it to talk about...
I know that Psi-Ops was a good game that didn't sell very well, and that the people who developed it are now making "Stranglehold"
which should come out this year
and I very much doubt that they ripped off this guy's random, obscure, not-all-that-original screenplay"
