Innovative TOXIC AIO Cooling Solution

I'd have given it a 38mm thick 240 rad rather than a 25mm 360, chassis space savings in case you're running an another 360 AIO, not digging the grill also. Looks like a sick card otherwise though.

Sapphires official power consumption of Toxic is a PSU wreaking marketing fairy tail. 6900XT clocked at 2350 MHz has 20ms power spikes above 600W.
This GPU will blow past 700W mark. You better have golden or platinum 1200W PSU for this power hungry monster if you wanna have stable system.

What is interesting to me about these designs is if they are better than a traditional loop with no fan cooling the PCB. If only you could actually get one of these cards.

If you're talking about custom loops, there you're literally putting a "full cover" on the PCB so you're mostly water cooling the hot parts better than this approach.

Well I like that the board only is 270mm long, but using this and not haveing a AIO for the CPU? If using both we are talking som serious large towers... In Denmark this will cost 19.999 kr. compared with 8.700 kr. for the reference card at launch - these prices though

Something like Fractal Design Meshify 2 could fit it without any problems, and it's still labeled as midi size. 360mm on the top, and anything up to 360mm to the front for the CPU, still enough clearance for the GPU.

Fanboy exist on both sides, it's doesn't matter Ferrari charge more even though it's produce less horsepower than Lamborghini.

I'd take a GTC4 Lusso, FF or any of the shooting brake designs over a Lambo lol, Lambos are awful everyday cars. They have lots of blind spots and whatnot. The modern Ferraris actually make decent everyday cars with the back wagon design.

Back on topic, AMD has already made a fair amount of money over the CPUs. Cards like this are more of niche items and exist in both camps.

Not true, the 6900XT does not peak above 600watt. We have tested 4 6900XT`s here and they are not coming above the 350watt at max, mostly around the 300/315watts, so maybe there is something wrong with the review. I also don`t see it in any other review out on the web.

I think that person is confusing the total system power usage versus the part's individual power usage.

I mean...it is correct, sustained gaming power consumption will be about 430 watt.
Spikes are not mentioned there, do they make any recommendation for less then 600 watt PSU's?

My teenage dream and until this day, it's still the Ferrari F40. But I prefer bikes, duchess especially :D
If Sapphire launched this product roughly $ 2500, with that 360mm I'm sold.

Been thinking about the toxic version. It does look really nice and I dig it. It's just I already have 6900 so I'm guessing I will skip swapping it with something else. If I were to pick a card from all released in the market, I'd go with the Toxic for sure.

Measure at higher sampling rate, pcat isnt fast enough. Or buy a 600 w psu and watch the spikes shut it off

All 6900xt, including the reference card. All use the same voltage controllers, same power stages. Same everything. Only difference is that some cards will use 14 power stages for the VRM instead of the reference 13. But it doesn’t do anything as the reference card is already an absolute overkill.

this is called clubbing baby seals. Charging an extra $1000 for literally nothing.

Awesome, great PSU then. For this specific test you only need to test the start of Furmark, the first few seconds. The spikes occur when it starts rendering and the GPU's power limit circuitry doesn't know yet that a spike is coming, so it'll let it go through.

Question... The EVGA 3090 Ultra FTW3 card you reviewed. You recorded a peak of 507W during furmark power consumption testing. EVGA has a 500W power limit bios. Was the furmark testing performed using the 500W power limit bios and with any overclock?
