EK Announces New Reflection² Distribution Plate for Fractal Design XL Cases

EK, a premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is launching the EK-Quantum Reflection² Fractal XL D5 PWM D-RGB - a custom-designed water cooling reservoir, routing, and pump solution made to fit two Fractal Design cases. This distro plate is specifically designed to provide an advanced water cooling solution with a market-leading D5 pump and is meant for users who are looking to build custom loop liquid cooling in Fractal Design cases. This Reflection² distribution plate is EK-Matrix7 compatible and is also equipped with an innovative push-in port that comes with a female G1/4" threaded adapter.
Supported Fractal Design cases:
  • Define 7 XL
  • Meshify 2 XL
EK-Quantum Reflection² Fractal XL D5 PWM D-RGB
It is designed to simplify the process for beginner-level PC builders who are entering the hard-tubing world of custom loop liquid cooling and to bring the slim-lined EK Quantum aesthetics to an already elegant case.

The EK-Quantum Reflection² Fractal XL D5 PWM D-RGB offers an all-in-one solution that includes a D5 pump, reservoir, simple mounting mechanism, and multiple industry-standard G1/4" threaded inlet and outlets. The placement of these inlets and outlets is perfectly aligned to match other EK cooling components, minimizing the number of bends the user has to make when creating the loop. The distro plate can support up to one CPU water block, two GPU blocks, and two radiators.

The radiator compatibility per case is as follows:
  • Front: Up to EK-Quantum Surface X360
  • Top: Up to EK-Quantum Surface P480
Engineered to be mounted next to the motherboard, the EK-Quantum Reflection² Fractal XL D5 PWM D-RGB fits elegantly within the supported Fractal Design cases. The built-in addressable D-RGB LED strip runs down the unit's entire length, while the anodized black aluminium cover hides the unwanted LED hotspots. The installed addressable D-RGB LED strip connects to the motherboard 5 V D-RGB (A-RGB) header via an industry-standard connector. It is compatible with all major motherboard vendor software for a coordinated lighting effect.

This water distribution plate comes with a genuine PWM-controlled D5 G3 pump that is both powerful and silent. Being a part of the EK Quantum Line, this premium product has enough power to give excellent performance with multiple blocks and radiators. The reservoir is made of CNC-machined cast acrylic material for the glass-like appearance and rigidity.

Reservoir Details:
  • Dimensions with the attached pump (W x D x H): 183 x 77 x 490 mm
  • D-RGB LED count: 27
  • D-RGB cable length: 600 mm
  • Reservoir volume: ~557ml
  • D-RGB connector standard 3-pin (+5V, Data, Blocked, Ground)
Pump Motor Technical Specifications:
  • Motor: Electronically commuted spherical motor
  • Rated voltage: 12 V DC
  • Power consumption: 23 W
  • Maximum pressure head: 3.9 m
  • Maximum flow: 1500L/h
  • Maximum system temperature: 60°C
  • Materials: Stainless steel, PPS-GF40, EPDM O-rings, Aluminium oxide, hard coal
  • Power connector: SATA and 4-pin PWM FAN connector
Operational regime:
  • PWM duty cycle: ~ 20-100%
  • Default behavior: Runs at 100% duty cycle when no PWM feedback signal is present

And just exactly how many arms, legs, kidneys, and left testicles (or mammary glands) are they asking for this single-purpose plates anyways ???

Knowing EK, it is probably a substantial number of each, hehehe :)

Don't get me wrong, I like some of their products, but this is just a silly waste of materials, parts, and effort IMHO....

Not even a block. It's a distro plate.

I really do want my next case to have a distro plate, but it also makes me sad they're not really viable in anything except gigantic XL cases - i really dont want anything bigger than i already have.

They don't do shit but look cool and fuck up flow rate. Hence why even EK doesn't use them on their own professional built computers, only the gamer RGB nonsense.
