While the EK Nexe was an interesting product lineup to see at Computex 2024, EK certainly did not forget its bread and butter product lineups at the Computex 2024 show, unveiling the new EK-Quantum Velocity³ CPU Block, EK-PRO AIO for AMD Threadripper/EPYC and Intel Xeon platforms.

The third generation of the EK-Quantum flagship CPU block comes with quite a few improvements, and this time around, EK is going for a rather traditional approach, one that does not cover the entire socket area. This does bring back memories and also, according to EK, this enables the EK-Quantum Velocity³ to be cross-compatible between Intel and AMD socket motherboards, with just a few parts that need to be socket-specific. While it uses a traditional design, there are quite a few new improvements that are everything but traditional, including the new jet insert developed specifically for this block, allowing it to have the optimal flow pattern and perform at its best on both AMD and Intel platforms. The 3D jet insert and the cold plate can change its orientation to either better cool down the LGA 1700 CPU die or the AMD AM5 chiplets. EK will launch the EK-Quantum Velocity³ in three versions, standard acrylic top, black acetal top, and the new white acetal top version. All three will have the new nickel-plated copper cold plate and D-RGB addressable lighting.EK was also keen to show its new EK-PRO AIO CPU cooler, a heavy-duty AIO aimed at workstation and server platforms. It features a genuine D5 pump neatly placed in a heavy-duty pump/cold housing, uses copper radiator, and even includes an extended five-year longevity. EK had a couple of neat systems on display with EK-PRO that clearly show what it is meant to do.
