ROCCAT Launches the Kone Air Wireless Gaming Mouse

ROCCAT, Turtle Beach Corporation's award-winning PC gaming peripherals brand, today revealed the Kone Air Wireless Ergonomic Gaming Mouse as the newest addition to its highly praised mouse range. The Kone Air features ROCCAT's perfected ergonomic mouse shape and provides maximum versatility for both work and play. ROCCAT's proprietary Stellar Wireless technology optimizes the Kone Air's wireless connectivity for peak performance, including lag-free 2.4 GHz wireless for fast-paced gaming, or Bluetooth for on-the-go productivity and reduced power consumption. PC gamers can power up the Kone Air with two AA alkaline batteries for a maximum battery life of over 800 hours. Additionally, the Kone Air works using a single AA battery, achieving a lighter weight. ROCCAT's wireless, ergonomic Kone Air mouse comes in Black or Arctic White and is available for pre-order today for a $69.99 (£59.99/€69.99) MSRP on the ROCCAT website and participating retailers worldwide. The Kone Air launches November 14, 2022.

"ROCCAT's ergonomic Kone mouse design has been perfected through years of refinement, and the Kone Air is a PC gaming mouse that's also purposefully designed to be productivity-friendly," said René Korte, ROCCAT Founder and General Manager of PC Peripherals at Turtle Beach. "The Kone Air's multi-button design is great for both gaming and productivity. Plus, you can make the weight lighter for gaming, or simply enjoy the shape and feel and incredibly long battery life."
ROCCAT's beloved Kone ergonomic shape ensures comfort even in the most intense gaming sessions. Placing a hand on the Kone Air is an unmistakable feeling, with ample palm support and durable, double-injected rubber side grips that feel great to the touch. The multi-button design is complimented by ROCCAT's Easy-Shift[+] button duplicator technology, expanding the mouse's nine buttons into 17 programmable inputs, and allowing for easy macros and actions. Simply hold down the Kone Air's programable Easy-Shift[+] button to access the arsenal of secondary functions.

The Kone Air is packed with several proprietary ROCCAT technologies designed to help PC gamers achieve maximum in-game performance. ROCCAT's TITAN Switches combine with the brand's 19K DPI Owl-Eye Optical Sensor to provide speed, accuracy, and responsiveness.

MSRP: USD $69.99.

Unfortunately no DPI indicators(though it wont be a issue for those who dont shift sensitivity frequently).

Looks like a dream mouse for those of us that wished for a G602 without the shit double-clicking switches and general logitech bottom level quality.

Replaceable batteries, long life, G602-style shape, optical switches.... only thing I'm missing is Asus's accessible-without-destroying-mouse-feet screws...

Still buying it, most probably.

Pretty great price but 96g is hard to swallow. Maybe if you absolutely need all these buttons...

Aye, it's pretty hefty: 96g is the weight without batteries. The Roccat website implies that one AA battery is 23 grams but the Eneloops I have are 26 grams apiece. So realistically 150 grams total weight with two AA batteries.

Not sure about the weight distribution and difference of feel between one and two batteries. For sure the center of gravity will change.

I couldn't find the 8th and 9th button so I assumed the scroll wheel has tilt function as is common on the Kone series mice, but turns out that those last two buttons are just Scroll Up and Scroll Down... Yeah you can assign secondary binds with EasyShift but including basic Scroll swiping into the count of 9 buttons is still pretty misleading on Roccat's side. Honestly the only extra button over most other mice is the third thumb button... And yeah it's disappointingly heavy. Roccat's own Kone XP Air weights exactly the same but includes the battery, tilt scroll, 4 extra side buttons and RGB (useless but adds to weight). Costs more than twice as much though.

Yes.

In Roccat software you can allow sound feedback and voice will tell new DPI when you change it. But not everyone like voice message like this during game, especially when you change DPI frequently. I used sound feedback with Kone more than 3 years and it was nice feature.
