Nfina Technologies Releases 112-i9 NUC with 12th Generation Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition Processor and Discrete Graphics

Nfina Technologies has upped its game in the small form factor PC market with the new 112-i9 NUC. This Mini-PC with the Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition processor, up to 64 GB of RAM, and a choice of integrated or full-length discrete GPU is one powerful package. Originally geared towards gaming, many businesses are finding the intensive operations of the 112-i9 NUC as an attractive solution for business computing, including applications like engineering, content creation, edge computing, and surveillance. This NUC is slightly larger than previous versions, but for important reasons.
  • Nfina's 112-i9 NUC sports an Intel i9-12900 Processor with 30 MB cache, 16 cores, and a maximum frequency of 5.10 GHz via Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology.
  • This NUC supports 64 GB of DDR4-3600 memory, a much larger capacity than previous models.
  • With earlier NUC models, GPU length was limited to nine inches, relegating them to smaller, less capable graphics cards. Now with twelve inches of space available, a host of top-tier GPU cards exist for the 112-i9 NUC, a feature fans of Mini-PCs have been requesting for a while.
  • Nfina's 112-i9 NUC also has Intel Virtualization Technology, giving you the power to host a private server for business computing, use it as a robust backup or storage device, and scale as needed.

Looks like a nice little mini-me machine, but based on the posted pics, somebody apparently dropped that unit, or sat something really heavy on it just prior to the pics being taken, and apparently nobody at nfinytec bothered to check them before releasing the PR.....w.t.f ?.....

I don't really understand the use of such powerful mini PCs. Why have an i9, but just the IGP and not even a midrange GPU. You can't play any games on this without an eGPU-dock. For everything else, an i7-1260P or i7-12700H will suffice.

Lol, did you read anything? Hell, look at the pics? It takes up to a 12-inch-long GPU. Not long ago, that was a big card. The 650 Watt power supply is the bigger issue for dGPUs. This may come as a total shock, but there are lots of uses for PCs outside of gaming.

Agreed, but I wish you luck in convincing 90+% of the members here of this fact, hehehe :)

And if this wasn't so over-priced and under-spec'd, ($1900 for a single ram stick & a 128GB SATA ssd, REALLY ?) I might consider buyin one !

ikr. AFAIK the last extreme edition was in the 10th gen which was essentially the same as the 9th/7th gen.
Unless it's HEDT, it's just a regular i9.

Yeh you are right it was i9 10980xe which appeared on x299 platform refreshing just the name but it embedded the extreme edition branding. Something Intel was only embracing on HEDT platform. So if this processor has any clue of the already rumoured HEDT, tpu should dig it up. The post states 16 cores not sure if they are logical ones or actual ones.

The i9-12900 has the exact specs listed here, so I imagine it’s just that.

The NUC is “extreme,” the processor is not. Nfina just mixed up the branding.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Extreme edition HEDT CPUs, it's just the company with their logo silkscreened on this NUC misusing the fact that this is a NUC 12 Extreme, taking that name and running with it in stupid ways. It's a regular i9-12900.
