AMD Gives Away Company of Heroes 3 with Ryzen 5000 Desktop Processors

AMD announced that it is bundling "Company of Heroes 3" with retail PIB packages of Ryzen 5000 series "Zen 3" desktop processors. The WWII-setting real-time strategy (RTS) is being bundled with new purchases of Ryzen 9 5950X, 5900X; Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 5800X, 5700X; Ryzen 5 5600X, 5600, and 5500. The 5700G and 5600G APUs are not eligible for this promotion. The bundle is limited to participated retailers, and in select markets. The company also has a separate running promotion for Ryzen 7000 series "Zen 4" desktop PIBs, where the company is giving away "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor."

Not really much of an incentive for most folks, but I wonder if amd will try to start clearing out their 5000 series line soon to push folks to AM5… hopefully not.

am5 isn't that pricey now honestly. $154 gets get top tier g.skill 6000 cas 30 ram 2x16gb, a 7600 is only $229 (easy to oc it to 7600x level if not beyond), and b650 mobo from MSI is 189 and its decent with good heatsinks.

I think those are all fair prices really, considering the world is collapsing before our eyes.

Great offer!

I commented my interest in this title when TPU's week 8 game review mentioned the game. I'm still considering either picking up a 5800X3D on a spare AM4 board (hope it works) or jumping ship to AM5 if the 7800X3D reviews are enticing enough.

In short if i eventually end up going 5800X3D (assuming the deal stands) it'll probably be the first time i've bagged a hardware + freebie offer of meaningful value.

As for some of the early neg reviews... i'm certain some of the obvious snags are already being ironed out with pending/forthcoming updates. Remember Battlefield 2042 reviews? It was madness from the get go... and rightly so. Much of it remedied.... here in feb 2023 the game is an absolute BLAST and the-addictive-nature-of-it probably the cause of perhaps an impending divorce (not that i believe COH3 will carry the same stimulant)

When companies do these offers it tells me they can afford to lower the price, as they wont be getting these keys for free. But I guess they only pay for the activated keys?

Space Lynxwell @bonehead123 its not even that good of a game, got mediocre reviews sadly.
The multiplayer is very good, it's the campaign that have mixed reviews but it has always been like that with them.
