AMD Barcelona system pictured

[H]ard|OCP has taken a few snaps of AMD's Barcelona system, displayed at AMD's event in Monterey, California.

What you see in the pictures below are single processor and dual processor configurations. Take note, those are Radeon X2900 XT video cards in the systems. Ian McNaughton showed off both systems encoding a 1080P trailer of Spiderman 3 to an H.264 format. On the dual quad-core Barcelona machine the encoding nearly ran real time.

No that's an 8 pin connector, and most likely an extension.

Not overwhelmed myself... you can't really find out anything from pictures like that, other than a few basic mobo details perhaps and some power info.

i would be happy with a nice dual core opteron rig and a x1950xtx or something like that. but then i only ocasionally tax my 3000+ x1950gt rig.

I think I am right in beleiveing that Barcelona certainly initially is not going to be available for retail and is only going to OEM's that provide hardware server solutions???
