Nothing confirms a graphics card's existence quite like pictures. HKEPC, along with some confirmed facts as to what we can expect to see from and when we can expect to see an HD 3600, published the first HD 3600 picture. Here are the confirmed facts:

• The RV635 will be a 55nm part.
• The RV635 will run DirectX10.1, have Shader Model 4.1, and be fully compatible with PCI Express 2.0.
• The RV635 will have 24 Stream Processors, 120 Stream Processing Units (ALU), 16 Texture Address Units, eight Texture Filter Units and four ROPs.
• The RV635 will be paired with an unknown quantity of 128-bit GDDR2/3/4 VRAM.
• The RV635 will be split into two groups, the XT and PRO. The RV635XT will be dubbed the HD 3670, and will be clocked at 800/1600 core/memory, respectively. The RV635PRO will be dubbed the HD3650, and clocked at 650/1000 core/memory, respectively.
• The RV635 will begin mass-production in mid-December, and begin shipping in January.

Need I say more?

Intel has been creating waves with the new Centrino Pro/Duo plattform (although they dropped the "plattform" part) and AMD is trying to stay in the news. They have now shown off the upcoming Griffin CPU at the Microprocessor Forum 2007. The CPU itself is about as big as a compact flash card. I will come in combination with the RS780 Chipset, which features up to 14 USB 2.0 port & 6 SATA ports. Intel's Robson (or Turbo Memory) will be taken on by AMD's Hypermemory offering. There will be support for HDMI and DisplayPort as well. All this should be available in mid 2008.

At the MSI PC2008 event yesterday in Taipei MSI showed off its watercooled version of the Radeon HD 2900XT and the guys at TweakTown are so kind to show us a image of this beauty. You should check our related news tab for more unconfirmed information, pictures and card specs.

[H]ard|OCP has taken a few snaps of AMD's Barcelona system, displayed at AMD's event in Monterey, California.

What you see in the pictures below are single processor and dual processor configurations. Take note, those are Radeon X2900 XT video cards in the systems. Ian McNaughton showed off both systems encoding a 1080P trailer of Spiderman 3 to an H.264 format. On the dual quad-core Barcelona machine the encoding nearly ran real time.

The next R600 based HD 2900XT graphics card finally made it to the Internet. MSI's yet to be a launched top model posed nude and in all it's glory while being photographed by the talented folks from coolaler.com. Please excuse that we can only post the harmless pictures at our frontpage.

The blokes from TechOne | HDTV got hold of a picture of an HD 2900XT card from Sapphire. The interesting part of this board is the cooling unit, which is obviously different from the reference design we have seen earlier. It features three heatpipes and the blades of the radial blower are bigger than on the reference design which usually should lead to a lower overall noise.
Meanwhile some German shops began listing ASUS and Sapphire HD 2900XT cards but the shops took the offers down for some unknown reasons. Though I missed to make a screenshot when I first came across the online shop grafikkartenpower.de which still has a 2900XT category, I remember the price which was 365.90 Euro. Furthermore the European pricegrabbing machine Geizhals.at still has the speeds of GPU and memory online, 757MHz respectively 828MHz (1656MHz effectively). At the moment this information is still to be taken with a grain of salt though until the world wide NDA is lifted on May 14th.

As we reported to you earlier today, HIS Digital recently updated their website with the online product presentation of their upcoming HIS Radeon HD 2900XT 512MB GDDR3 VIVO PCIe graphics card. It seems like HIS took the website down now but we still have all the pages for your viewing pleasure.

As we reported before, the NDA for NVIDIA's latest GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics will expire on the 2nd of May. HardSpell has pulled out today the first official board pictures and real performance benchmark scores. The review confirms that the 8800 Ultra card is clocked at 612MHz core and uses 384bit/768MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 2160MHz. Follow this link and read the full article.

Gigabyte United is set to introduce its next generation Ultra Durable 2 series motherboards in early June. There will be five Ultra Durable 2 series motherboards powered by Intel's P35 and G33 Express chipsets - the P35-DQ6, P35-DS3R, P35T-DQ6, G33M-D2SR and G33-DS3R in full and micro ATX configurations. All motherboards will feature ferrite core choke coils, low RDS MOSFETs and all-solid capacitors for increased reliability and longevity.

The sequel to the very popular racing game Forza was up and running at a local cart tournament. The current build runs on a debug XBox 360, which means the game itself runs from the hard drive instead of a DVD. The game needs to be started by hand every time the console is turned on. Below you will find a few images of the launcher and of the game itself. Please remember, the product is not yet finished by a long shot. The current build has reproducable freezes when choosing certain cars and the graphics are not finished yet.

The Chinese PCINLIFE got hold of some pictures and information regarding AMD's mid range card HD2600XT. The pictured card is said to have 256MB of memory, a maximum power consumption of around 80W and full HD capabilities.

Fudzilla has managed to snap a picture of the R600 card - this time, with the cooler off. By the looks of it, pictures of the core found on the web a few months ago didn't lie:The card above has 1024 MB of memory and "some dodgy drivers". It is interesting to see the core tilted the way it is. This will disable all current water cooling blocks (and perhaps air heatsinks) from being compatible with the card. An adapter, or a different retention mechanism, could perhaps fix this. Also note that ATI's R600 does not use a heatspreader on the core.

In addition, the card uses 2 power connectors: 1 standard 6-pin PCI Express, and 1 8-pin connector:All of the pictures are from the 12 inch card, which should be identical to the smaller version (except for the heatsink).

A member of the OCWorkbench forum has posted a picture of a GeForce 8300GT. The card is rather small and comes with active cooling. The cooler itself looks very old fashion. Odds are that it will retail with a larger, passive heatsink instead. No further details were given, but here is the picture:UPDATE: Seems like this is actually a Diablotek 7100 card, as they use the same PCB. So this is not a 8300GT. Thanks to Crucible1001 for finding the real card.

New information regarding the formerly named Unreal Tournament 2007 multiplayer game are next to inexistent these days. Midway, the publisher of UT 3 which ought to come this year to PCs and consoles, revealed a single 'screenshot' this week. Rumor has it the pictures are rendered and not actual in-game shots so keep that in mind when judging on the very detailed characters and surroundings.

Last Saturday we brought you the first pictures of a watercooling setup that it's obvious target is the OEM market. Now the VR-Zone reveals two more closeups of this particular card and a few more technical details. The stock air cooler will allow the user to clock the graphics core up to 850MHz, whereas the watercooled one will hit it's limit above that.

We were already bringing you the latest facts about an upcoming 'Elite' XBox version. This time we found some pictures out of the production pipeline of the bespoken gaming console.

VR-Zone brings us a picture from the water cooled version of the ATI R600 video card. The water cooling solution is probably provided by Aavid Thermalloy and coincidentally Aavid is preparing their Turbo Tube cold plates for mass production in May, same time as R600 launch. ATI's AIB partners can choose to use it, design their own or use a 3rd party water-cooler from Thermaltake.

There is no day that goes by without news regarding the R600. This time TweakTown managed to convince some people at the CeBIT to reveal the card. Don't be scared by the looks of these pictures. The image quality suffered a lot because there were around 50 labels with the label of the owners on it which had to be retouched.

We already have some technical information about the R600 mid and low range up a bit down in our news-section. Today we are bringing you the first pictures. The mysterious German guy 'w0mbat' recently posted them at the VR-Zone forums. He is the same guy who pictured the first Opteron 1220 Engineering Sample a while ago and is responsible for the latest information chart regarding the K10.
