1GB Retail X2900XTX spotted

There is no day that goes by without news regarding the R600. This time TweakTown managed to convince some people at the CeBIT to reveal the card. Don't be scared by the looks of these pictures. The image quality suffered a lot because there were around 50 labels with the label of the owners on it which had to be retouched.

vipercrazythats some serious size...
haha.

ATI said that they are going for a smaller, less power hungry card to defeat the 88, but they did quite the opposite. :nutkick:

btw, is the r600 gonna use that thermal foil?

It may use the thermal foil or it may come out with the x2900xtx. Beautiful card, seriously. I have to agree with Linkin on that front. I wish it was smaller and less power hungry, but my system can take it and so can my utility bill :)

If they do use thermal foil, i hope that heatstink is silent and efficient. from what i here thermal foil = fused heatsink to processor.

This is the 9.5" card... My only concerns are that the flames look kind of dumb.

Yeah, the photoshopping is pretty obvious, I just hope that it was just a bit of cleaning work they did on that picture...faking a cooler onto a card is pretty hard work anyways :p.

RickyG512damm it blows hot air in case
What? The fan sucks air from inside the case then exhausts it out the back like the x1950xtx's cooler does from what I can tell..

That card is "hot" lol (no pun intended). Seriously the card designs are getting radical these days! It looks huge because of the bluuring, the PCI-E port is blurred up so much... lol so yeah its not that big anyway.

EDIT: The blurring actually makes it look cool
