EK Launches Momentum² Monoblock for ASUS Pro WS W790-ACE Motherboard

EK, the leading premium PC liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is introducing the EK-Quantum Momentum² Pro WS W790-ACE - Full Metal, a monoblock designed for the Intel LGA 4677 socket. This cutting-edge monoblock from the Quantum line is specifically engineered for the ASUS Pro WS W790-ACE server-grade motherboard. It features a full-metal design that possesses unrivaled durability and a premium finish. Notably, this Momentum² monoblock is EK-Matrix7 compliant.

For those seeking optimal performance, all Xeon CPUs of the W-2400 and W-3400 processor families whose product name ends with an "X" come equipped with an unlocked clock multiplier. This means the EK-Quantum Momentum² Pro WS W790-ACE is a perfect fit for unlocking their full potential via overclocking. This is a complete all-in-one liquid cooling solution for next-gen Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs, designed to directly cool the CPU and the motherboard's Voltage Regulation Module (VRM) sections. It is compatible with the LGA 4677 socket on the ASUS Pro WS W790-ACE motherboard. With its direct flow of cooling liquid over the motherboard's critical areas, this monoblock provides an exceptional solution for supporting high-efficiency workloads and uncompromising system stability under high-load operation and even overclocking.
Magnitude Cooling Engine
The monoblock's cooling engine is based on the advanced Magnitude sTRX 4 technology, which incorporates the revolutionary Targeted Die Cooling (TDC) system, ensuring the best possible CPU cooling without reducing the flow to other components. Initially developed for the 2nd generation EK Threadripper CPU water blocks, TDC has been enhanced and implemented at a more sophisticated level.

The cooling engine has been significantly enlarged compared to the traditional Magnitude Cooling engine, creating ideal conditions for the best thermal transfer. The coldplate incorporates microfin stacks that cover a large surface area and boasts exceptional density, effectively maximizing the cooling surface area.

This is instrumental in maintaining optimal temperatures of the Xeon compute tiles and ensuring superior thermal management, making the monoblock an ideal choice for demanding tasks and intensive workloads of the XCC 4 tile workstation and server-grade CPUs.

CNC Machining and Full-Metal Design
The monoblock features a base made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while its top is constructed from highly durable acetal material. For convenient installation, the monoblock comes pre-installed with nickel-plated brass screw-in standoffs.

The top is adorned with a magnetized brushed aluminium cover plate featuring a specially designed sticker that perfectly accessorizes the motherboard's design. Not only does this cover plate complement the motherboard's layout, but it also serves the additional function of effectively hiding all the block screws, further improving the monoblock's aesthetics.

EK-Matrix7
The good news for true liquid cooling enthusiasts is that EK-Quantum Momentum² Pro WS W790-ACE is an EK-Matrix7 compatible product.

The EK-Matrix7 product raster sets a new standard across the liquid-cooling landscape. With it, the EK is adding a new dimension to PC liquid cooling, where the height of products and the distance between ports are managed by increments of 7 mm. This improves product alignment and reduces the time spent planning the loop and bending tubes - ultimately making the building process much easier. For precise compatibility matching, we recommend utilizing the EK Cooling Configurator.

Availability and Pricing
EK-Quantum Momentum² Pro WS W790-ACE - Full Metal monoblock is made in Slovenia, Europe, and is now available for pre-order through EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network. This Quantum Line monoblock will start shipping in early July 2023. The table below shows the manufacturer-suggested retail price (MSRP), VAT included.

Round of applause!!!!! I will take one, please :)!!!!!!!!
Dang, I do not plan on getting this motherboard - kind of large - but I would like to see this in a few other boards. But I doubt if EK does this for a lot of motherboards.
Also looks like EKWB took some inspiration from Comino - www.comino.com/products/asus-pro-ws-wrx80e-sage-se-wifi
Comino offers this for their Threaripper Pro motherboard. The only thing I did not like about the Comino, you see the copper. Looks like EKWB took there and step it up a notch.

Has EK fixed their nickel plating yet, or can we expect this to flake off in a year as well?

I personally have not had an issue with any of the EK items as others have shared. I check out my system often, and as of right now - all the EK parts are solid.
