USB-C is a nice touch and $300 is surprisingly tame for TM. I guess everybody else in the market finally forced their hand.
Thrustmaster is much larger company than the likes of Virpil, VKB, Winwing, they can sell on Amazon and have actual stock in local shops, their competitors have ocasionally very problematic customer support, linked to the fact that none of those comoanies operate in Western countries... People were willing to use Thrustmaster outdated plastic bases that failed often just because they didn't want to buy Chinese, Belorussian, Russian equipment.
