Asetek SimSports Launches New Customisable High-Performance Invicta Steering Wheel

Asetek SimSports - the manufacturer of sim-racing hardware based in Aalborg, Denmark - is today proud to launch a state-of-the-art product, the Invicta Steering Wheel. Inspired by real-life Formula racing cars, the Invicta Steering Wheel has been designed and crafted with supreme performance and immersion in mind. Asetek's long history of innovation, engineering excellence, and real-life racing experience and gaming expertise combine to make the ultimate steering wheel.

The Invicta Steering Wheel offers maximum rigidity from a CNC-milled aluminium chassis and carbon fiber front plate, all while keeping the design sleek and lightweight. Indeed, the Invicta Steering Wheel weighs in at just 1.5 kilograms for an unmatched weight to performance scale in this category. Light and strong, the Invicta Steering Wheel ensures users never miss a grain of detail on the racetrack and can take full advantage of the feedback from their simulator.
The state-of-the-art touch screen, which sits flush in the sleek carbon fibre front plate, provides users with all the information required to hone their skills and optimize their performance. A selection of curated presets is available via Asetek's RaceHub software - which allows users to continuously enjoy updates and new features for their products, as well as configure 47 customizable LEDs on the Invicta Steering Wheel - and users can also import their favorite dashboard directly from SimHub.

The Invicta Steering Wheel is fully customizable through the Steering Wheel Configurator tool on Asetek's website. From handles, buttons, and encoder colors to front plate materials and shifters, users can tailor the wheel to their style and comfort. In addition to this hand-built, made to order service, users can continue to transform the look and feel of their wheel post-purchase by switching handles, shifters, and encoder colors within minutes as part of Asetek SimSports' modular product philosophy.

André Eriksen (Chief Executive Officer, Asetek) said:
"The Invicta Steering Wheel is our crown jewel product. The Invicta line is our proof point - truly delivering the real racing experience that allows for full immersion. Since we launched Asetek SimSports a little more than two years ago, we've made Invicta pedals and wheelbases but not a steering wheel as we wanted to get it just right. So, this is something that the community has been waiting for and we are extremely excited to share our passion for racing and gaming through this product.

"I'm a racer myself and the Invicta Steering Wheel is a higher quality steering wheel than I've had in any race car that I've driven. It's a high-end steering wheel but you don't have to be a sim-racing expert to use it. We're so pleased with it and very proud of it."

I can totally see someone who's big into racing games getting one of these for their cockpit. It may be pricy at $1250/1570€, but I've seen so many people blow far more on their racing or flight sim setups, that I think that these might actually sell.

They definitely will sell, this is priced pretty close to competitors - one of which I know sells at least 100 units a month as basically a small boutique.

Asetek has so far made pretty good sim racing equipment which is competitive in the market. People who think their Logitech g29 is good aren't the target audience.

You basically buy an actual car at this price...
I know that's not how it works and probably anyone buying this already have a car but...
A car is so much more entertaining and useful than a sim wheel, nothing can change that
