Phanteks Intros Glacier EZ Fit Liquid Cooling Hardware

Phanteks has launched the new Glacier EZ Fit Water-Cooling system to bring a new, easy way to create both soft and hard water loops perfect for DIY projects. Phanteks has always strived to bring innovation to the enthusiast market, and the Glacier EZ Fit Water-Cooling System is the next step in high-level performance. All fittings in the Glacier EZ Fit Water-Cooling System are integrated into the cooling components and let users combine hard and soft tube in the same loop. Each of the Glacier EZ Fit Water-Cooling System components are made using the best copper, acrylic and aluminium materials using CNC machines for ultimate precision and performance.
Key Features
  • Fittings are integrated into the blocks, radiators and reservoirs.
  • 16 mm Hard tubing and soft tubing can be used interchangeably.
  • No more complicated shopping list for multiple types of fittings.
  • Made from the best materials: 100% copper, cast acrylic and rigid aluminium alloys.
  • Precision CNC-machined in the Phanteks CNC facility.
Glacier EZ-Fit 450CPU
The Glacier EZ-Fit 450CPU block comes with 2 integrated 16 mm fittings to start building the loop immediately. The 100% copper base features an incredibly large surface area with micro fins of just 0.15 mm. The mounting systems are made fully out of metal with 2 springs that automatically provide a balanced pressure on the CPU for the best and stable performance.

Key Features:
  • Integrated 16 mm fittings for hard and soft tube
  • High performance copper base with 0.15 mm fin array
  • All metal and automatically balancing mounting system
  • Main body made from POM that diffuses the integrated D-RGB lighting
Glacier EZ-Fit 360RAD-30
The Glacier EZ-Fit 360RAD-30 is a slim 360 radiator. Its 30 mm thickness makes it highly versatile for a wide array of chassis while the integrated 16 mm fittings allow you to start on the loop right away. The core of the radiator is made from H90 copper tubing and pure copper fins with a density of 19 FPI. The outer steel frame ensures a rigid construction that protects the copper core for long-lasting performance.

Key Features:
  • Integrated 16 mm fittings for hard and soft tube
  • All copper core with H90 copper tubing and pure copper fins
  • Large surface area with 19 FPI
  • Rigid construction with steel outer frame
  • Standard M4 threads and included screws for 25 mm and 30 mm thick fans
Glacier EZ-Fit 140RES-D5
The Glacier EZ-Fit 140RES-D5 reservoir is compact and versatile with its flexible mounting system. This allows the reservoir to be mounted onto any fan in multiple orientations while the integrated fittings have multiple locations to give maximum freedom. The powerful D5-Gen 3 pump sits integrated into the thick acrylic body while showing its water flow from all sides.

Key Features:
  • Integrated 16 mm fittings for hard and soft tube
  • Powerful D5-Gen 3 pump is fully integrated into the acrylic body
  • multiple port locations for ultimate freedom in loop planning
  • super flexible mounting system onto any fan in the system
  • Integrated D-RGB lighting behind the aluminium cover
  • Convenient fill port at the top of the reservoir
Glacier EZ-Fit 16 HI-PMMA TUBE
The High-Impact PMMA tubing combines the best of both worlds. It is easy to work with like PETG tubing while being as clear and reliable as traditional PMMA tubing.

Key Features:
  • Made from shatter resistant High-Impact PMMA material
  • Easy to cut with standard tube cutters
  • Resistant to high temperatures for the highest reliability
Glacier EZ-Fit 16 PVC TUBE CLEAR
The High-Impact PMMA tubing combines the best of both worlds. It is easy to work with like PETG tubing while being as clear and reliable as traditional PMMA tubing.

Key Features:
  • Made from shatter resistant High-Impact PMMA material
  • Easy to cut with standard tube cutters

Can't wait to try out the fittings. Something different for a change.

That pump-res looks nice and compact. Any idea of the pricing?

Agreed, sadly Phanteks are expensive over here. £199 for that pump/res combo and £349 for the most basic kit. It's Corsair/EK pricing :(

Oh hell no, I rather just stick with Alphacool then. :D

acrylic = best material. Okay i learnt something.
Mixing aluminium and copper sure makes a great product.

POM plastics also o.o

Without datasheets for the injection molding granulate it's hard to see the specifics.

steel also o.o

What I understood, there's only aluminium on outside of the reservoir, not touching the coolant. So no mixing metals there.

edit: And steel frames on radiators are totally normal. They're also not touching the coolant.

My Alphacool loop is all-copper and black acetal. If and when I ever replace it, I'm going acrylic again. The main thing is that no compromises were made to anything in the name of lighting - it's for cooling, not illumination.

Yeah, I prefer functionality over Christmas lights (even though my PC has more lights than a Christmas tree, but that's not an important feature for me when buying something).

The problem with lights is that plastics degrade over time with exposure to UV light, and most LEDs actually emit some UV.

It's unlikely to be a real issue given that sockets and GPUs mandate changing blocks out probably long before it's an issue, but the engineer in me can't help but think that allowing a ton of either daylight (fishtank cases with transparent acrylic blocks), or leaked UV from RGBLED - it's just asking for the plastic to go yellow and brittle over time. Hell, the whole thing's being heat-cycled all the time, too.
