be quiet! Announces Power Zone 2 PSU Series
be quiet!, the German manufacturer for premium PC components, is proud to announce Power Zone 2. Almost twelve years after the introduction of the legendary Power Zone series of power supplies, be quiet! has revived this award-winning series and future-proofed it for a new generation of gamers. Power Zone 2 features an impressive 140 mm fan and is be quiet!'s first power supply to feature semi-passive cooling with post-ventilation and a Cybenetics Platinum rating. In other words: Power Zone 2 is energy-efficient, quiet, and cool across all load scenarios, making it a reliable investment for the future.
Power Zone: A legendary heritage
When it was released in 2013, the original Power Zone stood out in the be quiet! power supply lineup - not only did the name not fit the usual nomenclature, but it was also the company's first (and for a long time, only) single-rail power supply. Fast-forward to 2025 and Power Zone 2 is pushing the boundaries again, introducing new features to be quiet!'s portfolio of power supplies, while still sticking to its single-rail design.Power Zone 2 is the first be quiet! PSU with semi-passive cooling. Until a certain load or temperature is reached, the fan remains at zero RPM, and only starts to rotate when necessary. The start-up curve is relatively flat to avoid sudden noise changes and when power or cooling demand drops, the fan continues to run for 2-5 minutes to avoid unnecessary wear (post-ventilation). Power Zone 2 uses a modified Pure Wings 3 140 mm fan; the large fan diameter contributes to the cooling efficiency in high-load scenarios.
Optimized for low-noise operation
To keep electrical noise such as coil whine to an absolute minimum, all Power Zone 2 components have been carefully optimized and the coils have been glued together to reduce vibrations. As a result, Cybenetics has certified the low-noise operation of these power supplies with an impressive Lambda rating of A+ for the 1000 W and 850 W models, and a groundbreaking A++ rating for the 750 W model. Power Zone 2 is the first be quiet! power supply to be certified by Cybenetics as Platinum-level efficient. It also receives an 80 Plus Platinum rating thanks to its high efficiency (up to 94%).
Fully compatible and future-proof
Power Zone 2 is ATX 3.1 compatible and comes with both native integration of the 12V-2x6 600 W connector for next-generation PCIe 5.1 graphics cards, and 3 PCIe 6+2-pin connectors for support of current-gen GPUs. The 12V-2x6 cable has a 90° angled connector on one end, for improved compatibility and appearance. The cables are modular, black, flat cables, that are easy to route. The PSU's design is aggressive and progressive, with an unmistakable mesh pattern. The topology is based on a half-bridge LLC with synchronous rectification and DC/DC conversion and features one massive high-performance 12 V-rail.Power Zone 2 is available in 1000 W, 850 W or 750 W. This covers the most popular wattages for high-end gaming PCs and leaves enough headroom for future upgrades. Backed by a 10-year warranty, Power Zone 2 is the ideal and future-proof PSU for anyone who is looking for a highly efficient and silent power supply.
Retail availability of Power Zone 2 is scheduled for February 11, at a recommended retail price of $189.90/€189.90/£179.99 (1000 W), $169.90/€169.90/£159.99 (850 W), or $149.90/€149.90/£139.99 (750 W).
