PS3 Halo-Killer Killzone 2 To Be Shown At E3

News is coming out that the PS3 killer app Killzone 2 is set to be shown at E3.

The game is going to be shown to the gaming world during an invite-only pre E3 event.

The event is expected to have about 150 invited guests attending to see the game in action. The expectation at this point is that Killzone 2 is going to be shown in a playable form.

What this form is going to be is not yet known because it is not known whether it will be a single-player demo, multiplayer, etc.

Also it is not known what the game will look like as it has not yet been shown in any form since E3 2005 when the game was unveiled in a video-form showcasing amazing photo-realistic visuals which many stated could not actually be achieved in playable gameplay.

Sony has the invite-only event going against the Microsoft keynote event as well in an attempt to steal thunder from the Xbox 360 and Microsoft. It seems that Killzone 2 will be ready to try and steal the show at E3 2007.

error_f0rceYes, my PS3 is my baby. Many people don't know this, but in the last firmware upgrade you are now able to stream all media from Windows Media Player to your PS3 wirelessly. i.e. I am able to stream movies, pictures, music, etc from my PC upstairs w/ little 19" LCD, wireless to my 55" HDTV w/ 5.1 ss downstairs.
:respect: PS3 media center FTW! :rockout:
(and BluRay is da bomb  [thank you NetFlix!!!])
I do that with my original Xbox.

Wile EBut still $50/yr more than free. I have a 360, and refuse to get a Gold account. I'll play MP games on my PC for free, thank you very much.
I know, but I'm comparing the online capabilities of an Xbox 360 and the PS3. Yeah, the Xbox 360 cost $50/year for Live, and the PS3 is free. But the Xbox 360 is just better overall, with the Friends list, chat over any games, XBL Vision Cam, MSN Chat. It's just the complete package. I would definitely spend $50/year. You can rent HD Movies online, and tons of other TV shows too such as Chappelle's Show, Southpark, and other series like 24. And all of it is either 480P or 720P. You can DL game demos as well, gamer pictures and themes. IMO its just better.

Meh... I'm a fan of bluetooth keyboards and headsets, which PS3 accomodates; not to mention being able to hook a printer to it via USB to print photo's, all-in-one media card reader, upscaled high-def backwards compatibility with all my PS1 and PS2 games, and the ever slowly improving web browser.

As for the media content, yes, MS has done a great job with downloads. Sony has game demos, game/movie trailers, ported PS2 games, map packs/add ons, and is working on the movies/tv shows etc. The Sony "At Home" launch is coming as well.... I'm excited to see what they do with it next!!

w00t to you guys who can mod XBOX's etc, I don't have the patience, skill or courage to mod my consoles. :o

In my opinion the Xbox 360 and PS3 are both great systems (there, i said it), while the Wii is just sorta on the side going "i'm cute! buy me!"

I've never played Killzone, so I'll have to see some reviews/previews before I make my decision. I played both the original Halos and they were great, the story is especially nice if you read the books too.

It's OK for two games to both be great, they don't have to "kill" each other. :toast: (you'll find my view is like this on a lot of conflicting topics)
