Sapphire Gemini HD2600XT X2 Announced

Shortly after GeCube released their GEMINI 3 Radeon HD2600XT X2 graphics card, Sapphire also announced their own version of the dual-GPU HD2600XT X2 graphics card. The pricing is the same as GeCube's offerings at around $259 for the 512MB version and $279 for the 1024MB version.

it does look like they have the xfire card to card connectors, you can just see them in the corner of the pic.

would be nice dx10 performance if it worked.

Wow, sweet. I was thinking the same kind of setup as this, quad crossfire. Im sure it can be done as its just two physical cards with 4 gpus...so to speak.

Would 2x of these in Quad CrossFire even compare to 1x 2900XT??

4 2600XT cores vs 8800GTX vs HD2900XT

I want to see this comparison on a review site. I wonder what type of performance this card gives off in a machine with a good cpu.

That would be interesteing to see, as long as they had a good Core2Duo or Core2Quad behind them, Im sure the Quad X2600XT's would do well ;)

Im sure the single 8800GTX or 2900XT would beat the 4x 2600XT GPUS, maybe not in numbers (ie 3DMark06 scores) but in an actual gaming environment ;)

How do crossfire 2600XTs compare to a HD 2900XT? If they at least get somewhere close then the 2600XT x2 in quad fire should score just below that and the 8800GTS. But of course it wouldn't be reasonable to buy these cards if your aiming for that performance.

This might be interesting if they use memory better than gddr2 (what gecube used). Slap some 800mhz gddr3 (1600mhz) and see how it works.

Looks nice but why 4 dvi ports?!?!

Beyond that, looks like the box says GDDR3.... Hopefully....

Now release one with GDDR4 and a 256bit ram bus....

You mean you don't want to run the hex crossfire with 12 monitors? (3 pci-e motherboards could be ftw!)
