AMD Launches New 45-Watt Desktop Processors

AMD launched on Monday six new 45-watt versions of its desktop Athlon, Athlon X2 and Sempron families. The new 45-watt chips are identified by an LE prefix; the X2 version uses a BE designation.
  • AMD Athlon X2 BE-2400 (2.3GHz/45W) - $104;
  • AMD Athlon LE-1620 (2.4GHz/45W) - $53
  • AMD Athlon LE-1600 (2.2GHz/45W) - $47
  • AMD Sempron LE-1250 (2.2GHz/45W) - $53
  • AMD Sempron LE-1200 (2.1GHz/45W) - $48
  • AMD Sempron LE-1100 (1.9GHz/45W) - $37

the cache specs would be nice, but bleedin hell... slap one under a TEC and it wouldnt even come close to half the TDelta value of the peltier itself... lol... you could double its thermal output and still retain subzero temperatures under full load.. thats pretty damn sick

OMG AMD is once again going into Duron era where I got a Duron 1.6 for $25. Then later Got Sempron 2500 Socket A brand new Retail for $5. Lately I got a AM2 A643200 brand new Retail for $20. That thing doesn't go above 35C under load no matter what I do (with default heatsink and cooler). The CPU is at 2.6 @1.3V on a ECS board. Don't know what version of CPU this is. But it runs cool cool. I am measuring the core temps. I will wait for those dual core CPUs to go down in price and put this thing into the Media PC.:D

I don't know about the Single cores, but the X2s are Brisbane cores, so 2x512 L2
