BenQ Announces New Projector Featuring Short-Throw Lens

BenQ announced the launch of the BenQ MP771, a high-brightness XGA projector, featuring a short-throw lens, superior imaging technology and a wide array of thoughtful features to provide corporate and education users with an easy access to big-screen viewing experience. Equipped with a high 3,000 ANSI lumens, BrilliantColor Technology, UNISHAPE, 3D Color Management and Wall Color Correction Technology, the BenQ MP771 delivers superior picture quality and splendid color performance. The launch of BenQ MP771 marks the debut of BenQ's upcoming projector series that features a short-throw lens for big-screen viewing experience without space constraints.

The BenQ MP771 makes big-screen viewing possible even in smaller spaces, such as departmental meeting rooms, classrooms, or living rooms-where it delivers a phenomenal experience with interactive games. Able to project a 74-inch picture from just a meter away, the MP771 not only overcomes space constraints, but positioning it close to the screen keeps the movements of viewers from affecting the picture. The short-throw ratio also makes it more practical and safe for presenters to stand between the projector and audience, avoiding the annoyance and health risks of the bright projector lamp shining into their eyes. Featuring a high 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness and high 2,000:1 contrast ratio, the BenQ MP771 delivers precise details even in dark scenes. The BrilliantColor technology brings a 50% increase in brightness of mid-tone color, resulting in highly saturated images. Featuring UNISHAPE lamp lighting technology, the MP771 is able to vary the intensity of the projector lamp in synchronization with its Digital Micro mirror Device (DMD) and color wheel, allowing an increase of 40% in brightness and boosts specific colors in different application modes. The 3D Color Management, allows users to fine-tune the six colors (R/G/B/C/M/Y) independently for hue, saturation and gain to suit personal preferences or meet the requirements of specific applications. Furthermore, the Wall Color Correction Technology allows users to use walls-even non-white ones-as a projection screen, without the need to make tedious manual picture adjustments. The BenQ MP771 provides high reliability and ease of use with its wide array of thoughtful features including the Splash Screen Lock function, a 12V trigger, Quick Auto Search function, Power On/Off Ringtones, On-screen FAQ and a Presentation Timer that effectively assists the user in keeping track of the time, so that presentations always end on time. Other thoughtful features include a detachable key pad, Off-and-Go function and top access lamp door for easy lamp replacement and maintenance. The BenQ MP771 is equipped with a combination of superior imaging technology and thoughtful features that provide users with an easy access to big-screen viewing experience even in rooms you'd think were too small. The BenQ MP771 is planned to be available worldwide in November.

A buddy of mine swears by his projector. He got it for around 400 bucks and I believe its a 720p system, which means he got it for a great deal.
