Windows in the palm of your hand
News coming out of the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) just keeps on getting better and better. Tom's Hardware Guide reports that what everyone really wants for Christmas (*uhem* - maybe not this Christmas) in terms of mobile computing are not PDAs or laptops but "handtops".
With a full version of Windows under the hood and only 0.5 watts energy consumption, Intel believes there is a market. It's XScale generation "Monahans," which was demonstrated with a clock speed of up to 1.25 GHz at IDF, would be the most likely candidate to power the "Handtop".
Now if only we could have a more original name...suggestions? :)
