Sony Confirms PS3 In-Game Messaging On the Way
Sony Computer Entertainment's UK boss, Ray Maguire, has confirmed rumours that Sony plans to include in-game messaging in one of its upcoming PS3 firmware updates. Sony initially sparked rumours when it uploaded a "Friends & Messaging" icon onto its website, which commented about using a USB headset or Eye Camera to engage in voice and video messaging. Maguire told MCV:

Our momentum will continue with the introduction of in-game communication in the summer [and] firmware update 2.4.Maguire also revealed that Sony has managed to sell over one million of the consoles in the UK.

But at any rate, it's stupid to argue about this, it's completely down to personal preference. There's no way to say one is superior to the other. Each has it's pros and cons.
But on a side note, what happens to all these PS3's when MS comes out with the new X-box and puts full force behind it unlike the HD war? Har. Competition and price reductions.
What exclusive games does MS have this year? Fable and Gears?
"Lets go play fable guys!!" :slap:

The same graph above ^^ can be found in the latest game informer mag too I believe, I'll find a scan or look in my copy too to make sure.
I've played more extremely good exclusives on the ps3 than I can say I have for the xbox 360.
However, the one main problem I have with the Xbox360 is that they dont have too many XBox 360 exclusive games.
A lot of XBox 360 "exclusive" games wind up coming out for the PC a few months later.
So to me that is not exclusive.
Thats why I went with the PS3 bc their games are genuinely exclusive.
But good news that Sony is trying to help out the online community.
It is a powerful box, but does need some software tweaks here and there.
The 360 doesn't have a lot of good exclusives, but most good games are multi-platform. In which case I will buy these multi-platform games for the best platform. - If they have multiplayer, hands down 360 is the best platform. If they will run better on PS3, I'll buy the game for the PS3; however, so far, this has never happened (except with oblivion which had an extra year to upgrade) - but I thought that game had shitty physics, animation, and lighting so I didn't play it. There are only 2 upcoming exclusives for the PS3 that actually look good, FF13, MGS.
Maybe because the PS3 cell can handle computations up to 20 times faster. It has taken MS longer to adapt their hardware to get folding at home, although it will be coming soon to Xbox I'm sure.
Since you have PS3, go check out some more exclusives. Haze, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Twisted Metal Head On, MGS, MGS Online, FF13, FF13 Online, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Resistance, God of War 3...The list goes on. :rockout:
Let us take GTA IV for example:
THe MS gets it own exclusive dl content, while Sony also gets its own exclusive download content.

A PS3 is a newer console than the 360, so the marketshare currently purchasing a PS3 probably owns a 360 or has owned one. I could sell 150% more of something this year than my competition if everyone alredy had my competitions product too. Simple marketing strategy is at play here and most of you are falling on swords to be thier tools.
The PS3 is awesome.
The 360 is awesome.
And as games advance and demand more a newer console will be the obvious choice for developers, games today are not marketed at 10 year old hardware and Windows 98. But if I say that my platform is selling more than competing products with out telling you the competing products are from 10 years ago............ when the market is in a stage of growth.......
Anyone getting the picture?
It is very apparent that you are unable to discuss the correct topic, as well as behave in a civil manner. All I see is blatant spiteful mudslinging; the topic of this news story is not, "who is the greatest fanboy."
