Super Talent Ships World’s First DDR3-1800 4GB Kit

Super Talent has become the first high-performance memory manufacturer to offer DDR3-1800 PC3-14400 4GB Kit (2x 2GB), part of the company's overclocking friendly Project X family. The kit is rated with latencies of CL8-8-8-24 at 1.9V and comes backed by a lifetime warranty. "This represents another major first-to-market milestone for Super Talent", commented Super Talent Marketing Director, Joe James. "While competitors are only able to produce 4GB kits up to DDR3-1600, we've engineered a kit that performs at elevated clock speeds while still supporting aggressive latencies." The W1800UX4GP kit is available now for under $499.

performance wise they are dead even

go look @ some BH-5 numbers

if you really wanted proof someone could run sp on a P4 with a PT880-ultra, 975, and X38/48 and compare the numbers they would be slightly off do to chipset changes but they would be VERY close

Depends on the speeds. DDR1 400Mhz 2-2-2-6 = DDR2 800MHz 4-4-4-12 = DDR3 1600MHz 8-8-8-24, so these Patriot models are actually faster.

By the looks of the heatsink are is the module single-sided? Meaning they already got such dense (and fast) banks into production?

Why? 1800Mhz 8-8-8-24 is faster than 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24. I don't know what else you could be referring to, my math is right. Unless you want to figure using 1800 as the base. In that case, this Pat ram = DDR2 900MHz 4-4-4-12 = DDR1 450MHz 2-2-2-6. Respectable for a stock rating, no matter how you look at it.
