MSI P45 Diamond Engineering Sample Motherboard Early Look
The guys over at HKEPC managed to get hold of an engineering sample MSI P45 Diamond motherboard (Intel P45) that looks in no way inferior to current ASUS R.O.G. and Foxconn MARS products. The Micro Star P45 DIAMOND (MS-7516) has all the features needed to be named high-end motherboard. This early ES sample features large heatpipe chipset cooling that can be transformed into water block if needed. On-board power, reset and clear CMOS buttons are also included. A clear CMOS button is also presented on the back of the motherboard. Check out the rest of the pictures over at HKEPC.

is this DDR2 or DDR3? I couldn't read the semi-translated HKEPC site..
still wanna know what's with all the crayon colours on MSI boards...LOL
as to the MEM type - judging by those DIMMs, it appears to be DDR3.
it's a nice looking board, though, and I like the stock cooling solution - but only 2 PCIE16x slots might turn quite a few enthusiasts away . . .
glad to see ASUS will have some more competition, though!
does the extra heat output from Nvidia and Intel chipsets suggests that AMD chiset is more environment-friendly?
If your going to purchase such a board, your going to have 2 decent to highend gfx cards and a sound card.
The gfx cards take up 2 slots, which seriously effects the amount of other hardware you can put in one machine.
Above the first Pci-e slot is the smaller one. And like most other boards, its located in a position where a long cards components actually makes contact with the northbridge :(
Always been a fan of the MSI products. Never had a stability issue. Keep it up MSI.
:ohwell:
On topic: Woah...maybe MSI splurged all its financial resources into chipset cooling RnD (and fired a chunk of its RMA and consumer relations departments).
