ASUS Unveils Choice Notebook for the Corporate Elite

As the new flagship system for the ASUS line of business notebooks, the B80A with a 14.1-inch widescreen is packed with the powerful features, robust security and stylish build that corporate users look for in their notebooks of choice.

Getting the job done: Power, Connectivity, Security
To get the job done, executives need the computing power to breeze through documents, reports and, increasingly, multimedia content. They also need a comprehensive suite of connectivity options for communicating and collaborating with colleagues and clients, or accessing critical, timely information. To this end, the B80A is powered by Intel Centrino 2 Processor Technology, and boasts ample high-speed storage and memory. Of particular note is the B80A's support for 7,200 rpm SATA hard disk drives, allowing users to enjoy desktop-like speed when accessing files. The B80A's wealth of connectivity-including Draft-N wireless and Bluetooth capabilities-as well as the built-in high resolution webcam, also mean the user is always connected, and video conferencing is easy.

Serving another important function are the built-in fingerprint reader and TPM-level security that protect files and data from unauthorized access, without compromising convenience and user-friendliness.

Useful features
The B80A is designed with usability in mind. Its 14.1-inch screen provides a generous display area while maintaining a highly-portable form factor. The B80A is also built for reliability, sporting a spill-proof keyboard that protects against spills of up to 50 cc of liquid. The keyboard's built-in LED lighting makes it easy to work under dimly-lit conditions in one's bedroom, while back at the office, an optional docking station provides convenient and instant access to a wealth of peripherals.

While the B80A is designed with every consideration of the corporate user's needs in mind, entertainment is not neglected. When it is time to relax, the B80A's built-in HDMI interface offers a ready connection to large-screen TVs and multichannel audio systems via a single cable.

The "corporate elite" fly around in airplanes. They dont lug 14.1" laptops, but 11, 12 and 13" ultraportables.

2.5kg. Lighter than a sack of potatoes, but more of a machine for a "hotdesk administrator".

SSDs ftw.
If I were a businessman, I'd much rather prefer something like an IBM Thinkpad X300: 13" screen, 64 GB SSD, and enough power for any office/work related app, as well as plenty of battery life.

This isnt a bad laptop though, just a bit too big for the intended market.
