VIA Ready with VIPRO Embedded Kiosk PC Panel
VIA has announced with its VIPRO PC Panel VP7710. It is a touchscreen display panel with a PC built-in, that finds application in kiosks, ATMs, ticketing machines, and industrial control panels. The 10.4 inch touchscreen display is durable, dust-resistant and water-resistant. The panel PC comes with options of VIA C7 1.00 GHz or VIA Eden 1.60 GHz processor with 1 GB of DDR2 memory. The machine is can run Windows XP comfortably for the hardware that's installed. It provides essential peripheral and network connectivities. The panel uses a sturdy steel and aluminum body.Features include:

But I wonder why they didnt use the nano? Much more powerful, and more power efficient, and therefore, would make a much better and more adaptable product if used here. :confused:
However, IIRC nano is socket and pin compatible with C7, so perhaps 2009 will see version 2 of this kiosk device :)
The Eden (C3) is a truly foul underperformer for 2008. It sucked in 2005, and now (2008/9) it is terrible. A P3-800 BLOWS an Eden out of the water.

I dont think that Nano is any "less" of an operator than C3 or C7. Let's hope they implement it. Then this would be a GREAT little panel PC system.
