New coolers from Arctic Cooling

Swiss cooler manufacturer ARCTIC COOLING launches new series of Graphic card coolers named Accelero (X1 for ATI X1800/ X1900 Series and X2 for NVDIA 6800/ 7800 Series). Vibrations caused by the rotating fan are absorbed by a patented vibration muffler. Complex airflow simulations were conducted during development
of the fan, the results were incredible cooling performance at extremely low noise levels as a result of to 6 heatpipes. ARCTIC COOLING offers for this series a 6 year limited warranty.
Both models will be available by end of February 2006. The MSRP is each only USD 33.-.

I hope these drop temps significantly below stock. I'd still rather have a Zalman though myself because of my side fans blowing directly onto the card.

What ever happened to blowing the heat out the back PCI slot? So now they're just recirculating the hot air and calling it better performance?

Im gonna have to agree with that one. One of the best features of Arctic Coolers was the fact it took the heat out of the case, have to say Im a little dissapointed, tho the stock coolers are loud vacuums at least they make an effort of getting the heat out of your case.

Meh I like the open-air coolers (VF-700-Cu perfect example) myself so they can get the airflow from my side fans.

gonna have to agree with that as well...

couldn't they have made they're "old"-style "thermal sleeve" design that just swooshes the heat outta the case?

I also agree, where the f is the hot air supposed to go, same as stock. Maybe worth it if it runs more quiet.

Just read a review for the Arctic cooling Accelero X2 for ATI, dont expect way cooler temps at load, but will be hell of alot quieter, than stock fan. It will be cooler while idle, which could mean longer life for your card? Interesting to see what it would do while OCd, the review was not OCd x1800xt. Wonder if it may be better than the Crappy little XL HSF? Silence-->:slap: <--noise

my friend is using the zalman vga cooler FATALITY version , with heatsinks for the ram and he is getting idle at 39-40c and load 55-58c ...........on his x1800xt , and i have ordered that cooler for myself now , cause its doing the job !

ps he chose the fatality version because it has a max 3500rpm spin on it rather than the regular version which only maxs out at 2600rpm

Accelero will do the same, but will not need extra ramsinks, according to the review, I should google the review and post here but I am a lazy ass. Temps are relative, it is the difference in temps that matters. After you get your Fatality, post what you got, versus stock, at load, and while idle.
