Introduction

Today we look at an eVga GeForce 6800 Ultra for PCI-Express. The Vmods for the PCI-Express version of the 6800 Ultra are a little bit different from the AGP version. As always, techPowerUp does not assume any responsibility should you damage your equipment when attempting this mod. Performing this mod will void your warranty. Upgraded cooling is always recommended.

vGPU mod

The 6800 Ultra uses a VT1103M to control vGpu voltage. We locate the resistor marked and solder a 100K Trimmer set at max resistance in parallel with it. Lower resistance yields higher GPU voltage. The 6800 Ultra GPU scales well with voltage, this mod is definitely worth it.

vDDR Mod

For vDDR the 6800 Ultra uses ISL6534CV. ISL6534CV is a 24-Lead EPTSSOP Dual PWM Voltage Regulator w/ Linear Regulator. To change the vDDR, we locate the resistor marked and solder a 100K trimmer set to 71.5K in parallel with it. Lower resistance yields higher DDR voltage.
