The Intel Atom Z520PT was a mobile processor with 1 core, launched in March 2009. It is part of the Atom lineup, using the Silverthorne architecture with BGA 437. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading the core-count is effectively doubled, to 2 threads. Atom Z520PT has 512 KB of L2 cache per core and operates at 1334 MHz. Intel is making the Atom Z520PT on a 45 nm production node using 47 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Atom Z520PT, which limits its overclocking potential. With a TDP of 2 W, the Atom Z520PT consumes extremely little energy. The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability. Hardware virtualization is available on the Atom Z520PT, which greatly improves virtual machine performance.
