The Intel Pentium 4 1.7 was a desktop processor with 1 core, launched in April 2001, at an MSRP of $352. It is part of the Pentium 4 lineup, using the Willamette architecture with Socket 423. Pentium 4 1.7 has 256 KB of L2 cache and operates at 1700 MHz. Intel is building the Pentium 4 1.7 on a 180 nm production process using 42 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Pentium 4 1.7, which limits its overclocking capabilities.

The highest officially supported memory speed is 800 MT/s, but with overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher.
