The AMD Sempron 2500+ was a desktop processor with 1 core, launched in July 2005. It is part of the Sempron lineup, using the Palermo architecture with Socket 754. Sempron 2500+ has 256 KB of L2 cache and operates at 1400 MHz. AMD is building the Sempron 2500+ on a 90 nm production process using 63 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Sempron 2500+, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
With a TDP of 62 W, the Sempron 2500+ consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. Although the processor doesn't come with integrated graphics, certain motherboards with compatible chipsets can provide this capability.
The SSE4 instruction set is not supported, which can cause problems with modern games, as they require that capability.
