The Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2180 was a desktop processor with 2 cores, launched in August 2007, at an MSRP of $84. It is part of the Pentium Dual-Core lineup, using the Allendale architecture with Socket 775. Pentium Dual-Core E2180 has 1 MB of L2 cache and operates at 2000 MHz. Intel is building the Pentium Dual-Core E2180 on a 65 nm production process using 105 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Pentium Dual-Core E2180, which limits its overclocking capabilities.
With a TDP of 65 W, the Pentium Dual-Core E2180 consumes typical power levels for a modern PC. Intel's processor supports DDR1, DDR2 and DDR3 memory with a dual-channel interface. For communication with other components in the system, Pentium Dual-Core E2180 uses a PCI-Express Gen 2 connection.
