NO, and why do I say that ? Because you should stick with one monitor and ship GLD one of your other ones:roll:

I only have one monitor dude! I wish I had two 30inchers! My question was about if 3 gig gpu would do me better than 2 gig in a game like bf4/bf3? at 2560 x 1660

Is it? Is 3 gig overkill, or is it worth the extra money and would I see more fps because of it?

Ok I dont want to rob a bank! lol. I've never bought a card that expensive. Im thinking 770 or 7970 max. Im replacing a 5870 so it wont take too much to impress me and the 5870 does pretty well on my monitor. But I want to at least crank it all to high for bf4, not to mention just want a new card as this one is 4 or 5 years old now. Hopefully I can find 3 gig versions of those cards. So ...yes to 3 gig then? aim for it instead of 2 gig?

Get the 7970. If you need something right now. 780/Titan are overpriced for gaming cards.

You could just wait until the game releases.. Heck, the game might be included with AMD's next cards.

Or you could get two 670's for the same price as a 780 and smoke it in performance.

If he is not entirely willing to rob a bank to get a 780, im not sure he would be willing to get 2 670s.

The 770s are faster and cheaper than the Ghz Edition 7970s.

They are 2% faster at that resolution and around $40 dollars more.

Really though, I don't think it's a good idea to buy a card for this game at this time, with new cards launching around the same time, possible bundles and price cuts.

My mistake at being a smart ass. I thought that was a multi-monitor set up resolution. I'm hoping it plays good on a GTX 670 because
I really don't want to spend another $450 this soon after buying my last card. If so I'll probably just sell my other gamer and upgrade
my board and power supply and get another 670 and run SLI. If it plays on High settings at 1080p I'm good though.

Well...once you see the density and subsequent detail of 1400P+ you would know. Though it's partly subjective/personal preference. I just think that 27" is too big for the relatively low number of pixels at 1080P.

By the way, 1600P 30 inchers have wide gamut color range which is not so good for gaming. Engineered for photo and design work and such.

Ah yes, everyone games at 2560x1600.

W1zzard says:
NVIDIA's $400 price point is a great choice in taking this segment by storm. With current pricing, AMD is not competitive at all. The Radeon HD 7970 is slightly cheaper, but much slower, and the HD 7970 GHz Edition is more expensive and slower.

The so called "beta" is coming soon so we will all see that this is more of a content addon rather than a big engine jump and a completely new game. I expect similar FPS as with BF3 unless they enable some new sexy DX feature that I'm too blind to see anyway.
But 110$ for a shooter is really pure rape.

I would have to disagree with your statement about 30" monitors not being so good for gaming because of having a wide gamut color range. I have been playing games on my Dell 30" for about two years and absolutely love it. Just my personal opinion:)

Just noticed Origin showing mine as well:toast:

I was wondering why you're all so fuzzed about DXP, but then I realized you guys aren't Col100 yet. Guess I'm a no-lifer :ohwell:

Why would anyone buy Digital Deluxe if you're buying Premium the month after it...
That is wasting € 10,00. They should just sell a Premium Edition (like they did with BF3 at a later stage), Game + Premium for a reduced price. Paying € 100 or € 110 at launch is definitely a bit harsh, considering some are already going to buy a new console in the same period.

Btw my advice, wait for Beta in October before pre-ordering, it's not like they will run out of copies. Besides the new GPU + Game deal sounds really sweet, so that is something keep an eye out for as well.

Second Assault is going to be: Operaton Metro, Gulf of Oman, Operation Firestorm and Caspian Border. I am not sure what DICE was thinking, so I hope they at least give Metro and Firestorm a proper overhaul.

PS. Any of you BFers on the European front, feel free to friend-up ;)
