OFFICIAL Star Citizen

They hit $22 million so Facial Capture is in, they are about 1/3 of the way to the Xi'an Scout ($23M), and a new unlock for $24 million is a Public Transportation System.
... and you can support NPU by clicking here. :)

Where is the M50!!!!!!???? I want one!!!

Yes, I would like some cheese with my whine...

Interested in the release of the Organization system, suppose I need to start looking for a big clan/guild/etc.

I'm already signed up with LAMP "Wastedslayer". Been signed up since january but they look pretty promising if you don't know what your going to be doing in game. They have both a pirate and a lawful department. I suspect their going to be one of the few large clans that have a cater for all approach on launch.

I'm not sure if TPU is going to do a clan. And if it is how that is going to be played. I'm sure that if TPU were going to clan up it would be a decent operation to be part of. And been in game in another clan doesn't mean you can't help out with a TPU clan as well I for one will be looking out for TPU members and adding people into my friends lists.

I plan on making a "TPU" organization in game. Larger fleets/clans/guilds don't appeal to me whatsoever, though I am in "The Convoy", but that's a very loose guild with no structure.

Oh, since I seem to have an abundance of ships at the moment, I made a video of them all: Star Citizen Hangar Patch 7 - YouTube

In the description you can select whatever ship you want to view.

this game does seem like it will be very good. but it scares me. is this going to be one of those game where if you want to have fun playing it online you have to put in 2-3 hours a day just to stay competitive?

Thanks guys, I was picked up by Blue Horizon though as part of the Fleet Security division. Its one of the big ones, but my personal hope is to move up and have my own squadron. I'll likely also join the TPU clan as a secondary if I can do that.

Have they shown the Hornet variations anywhere?

wait, is star citizen a persistent universe like eve?

Yes.. though on a scale even larger then Eve. Even things like Racing might be a viable way to earn money, with mention of "Cup" races and systems economy's completely focused on it (racing). Just to give you an idea.

damn, so it is going to be one of those games you have to spend 20-30 hours a week if you want to be taken seriously in game...

Supposedly they are trying to make it so it can work for people who are both hardcore players, and who only have a few hours to put in here and there.

Edit: Id have to read up on the forums to figure out how though

i would love it if i could just jump into a ship with somebody and go dogfighting...

You can, there are larger ships where 1-2 people pilot and 1-3+ people man turrets! Thats gonna be awesome.

I don't think so. If you want all the top end stuff you will need the credits, That will involve for the most part either some form of mining, ratting, or salvage operation. The game will cater for all levels of play. And for the most part it will be a combination of skill, team work, and ship that play the most part in what you achieve.

Because there is no skill/level system you will always be eligible for content. This means if your guild is raiding a space port then it doesn't matter if you fly a Aurora or a Bengal Carrier, Or if you have basic weapons or top tier weapons. It'll be the team effort that wins the day and more importantly you should still get a share of the loot equal to the kills you score. It's why I think been in a good guild is going to be very important in this game. Because without a tier/level or skill system the only other option you have to grade missions is number of players and personal flight skills.

I'd like to think the game will play like an end game WOW raid. You have trash that is solo-able, Group pulls that are going to need a little co-ordination, Then death stars that are going to need tactics, Organization, and a large number of players to beat. This should all be in the persistent open world. So you can fly in secure space without a problem, But the further you go out to the fringes the more the group takes precedence.

High security space, running missions or ratting should give you this experience. If your end game goal is a massive ship this will be the slow route, But it should give you enough credits to get out of the aurora and into something will a little more poke so you can do these missions a little easier. Think about it like tier 1-3 eve missions that you can do in a cheap ship. The level 4's will need a bigger ship, better player skill, or a team. You should be able to grade these high security missions so they always give you one you can do in your ship. There will be a lot of players that never go into pirate space, And they have to cater to those people as well as the people that want to rat the deep space pirates, or do the harder content.

Personally I have my goals set on ship stealing/salvage. I plan to find a like minded idiot and run the cutlass or a team of cutlasses on team building exercises.... literally team building :D Go in with 2 ships come out with 4 :D

$35 bucks. That will get you into the Alpha and Beta with the dogfighting module coming in December.

You can spend whatever time you want in game. You'll have your ship and your hangar always there waiting. Who knows too, maybe you'll be able to have your character making constant cargo runs in safe space making you money while you're logged out.

Cant wait to see the different Hornet variations

I can't wait to try out my avenger and hornet in the skies/space!!!

FYI : They exceeded $23M so the Xi'an ship is in. The transportation system is next at $24M.
Reports say that if they hit $25M they will have an expanded alpha that will allow them to increase their infrastructure and in turn, the ability to have more alpha slots available for testing.

Kreij, rumors of your death have been greatly exaggerated. :D Did you manage to get an original backers pledge? If you need a ship just PM me, I'll sort you out an aurora and the A/B package because I know funds must be tight for you ATM.

Look forward to chatting with you in the verse! will be nice to have a veteran space simmer to have as a wingman.

Thanks Iceni, but I don't have any time to play computer games. :(
Especially MMOs.

Next month I am getting this game and Erocker and I are gonna hunt furries.

Dude like I care if you don't have time! You will have time at some point, and I've had many a chat to you about most of the games we both love.

Even if your in an iron lung, I'm building you a head tracker and a finger twitcher so you can be my gunman!
