Mine's in UEFI, the only difference I've seen so far is that my POST logo has increased in resolution, but I believe that if I had an SSD that could've increased in boot up times since UEFI supports fast boot

Msi rep says to use UEFI all the time. Legacy bios is for old operating systems so he says

Then he is talking nonsense. The UEFI VBIOS is only good for (actually required) fast boot feature of Windows 8. From what I could read on the internets, it brings absolutely nothing to the table if you run anything else.

I have disabled the onboard video..... This is still occurring.... the machine will wake up and I see the monitor light come on like it is going to wake up but just sits at a black screen.... again if I let the machine stay sitting at the screen saver it is fine....
if I turn off my monitor manually or let windows do it.... it is about 50-50 whether or not it gets signal again....

Is the monitor on though ?, If it's the same issue i get it with the 6770 monitor light comes on but black screen. So i have the comp setup so if you hit the power button it shuts down and if you start it back up it's perfectly fine, well that was until i found out by turning the screen off and on fast as possible would fix it..

I do believe it is a bios issue as it was about that time it was changed.

Anyone got the XFX DD with the 1050 clock setting and if so hows it doing ?..

As if i am going be over paying one thing for siure i want one with a lifetime warranty lol.

Sorry had my wires crossed :/ neliz said

The BIOS decides how you initialize the card in you system, you can't boot a GOP/UEFI bios on a system wth only a legacy bios.

Well, fortunately with MSI cards, you can, as it is a hybrid UEFI/legacy BIOS. The card that comes in the box tells you that :)

Position #2 is hybrid UEFI.. #1 is legacy and why are we going on about this? There both the same clocks and and don't do shit. I just flash #1 but be sure to back both up and rename them so you know what is what

Crossfire users, can I just pop the 2nd card into the system and reboot? Or remove the driver power down and put the card in and install the driver again? This no crossfire bridge is new to me and just looking for so advise.

I would recommend removing the driver with driver cleaner, then physically installing the card and installing the driver back again on reboot :)

I'd imagine windows will install some pci-e to pci-e link or bridge driver on boot up before the driver even starts to load hey?

Well except for them standing by every product i have ever had of them and having a lifetime warranty along with me living in the US i will be allowed to remove the cooler clean it and what not re apply paste without any worry of voiding the warranty. If your in the US you just ask them and they just give me the ok to do it my self which saves a lot of BS..

And why go for one of the others when they only have 2-3 year warranty's with them anyways which are pretty much the same price...

@ broken pixels.. nice run. I'm getting around 10600 on a 3770 and one 290. When I get home its going to be interesting to see what my 2nd card can bring for a score. What's you're extreme score?

I use 2 XFX 290x GPUs they have elpida memory chips but I did get them before the price increase. :) I run both at 1050/1350 gaming and bench them up to 1100/1450.

I also mine with them most of the time, so they are solid cards and XFX had a good warranty for US based peeps.

I think that one is my best score for my 2x 290x besides doing the tess tweak that 3d mark does not like, it does 20k plus.

I will bench a few with higher clocks on my CPU and GPU to see.
