Spent some time in an RES near BD-18 394's McDivitt Terminal the other night getting back into the groove of combat. I prefer conflict zones for more action tho.

To answer Erocker...I dunno. I haven't really researched whom I'll go with. I've been working my way up the Federal Navy ranks slowly but I have no problem changing to empire.

I'd also like to join forces with Elite TPU-ers.

Maybe we should choose on what ships would be available and benefits given ?, not really bothered about the dropship it's waaaay tooo slowww but that side just got another but if i would want it i don't know.

Been meaning to check out the clipper to see if that's a worthy ship. I do want another FDL so as long as i can get one of those later on as i have just dumped over 100mill for the Type 9, i can live with my ASP even if a little slow.

I don't remember if the FDL can be gotten from both sides or just one same with the Vulture. Like to try the newer ships to but not bothered about when.

But by the pic my wife picked the 3rd one as he looks like he been there done it and kicked ass lol.

As soon as i hit the play button in steam it started to download 1.5GB which it be done for me in 90 seconds.

I don't mind going pirate either, but I agree with going for an option that provides good benefits and desired ships. The FDL is on my expensive short-list (I haven't earned enough in-game yet to even afford such a ship lol!).

Also +1 for the Geralt-looking fella that's third in line.

I think I'm either joining the princess asling-duval or a Lavigny-duval. Not sure. Lavigny has bounty boosts but asling has more perks in the long run. Stronger shield is her special weapon right?

But what i was wanting was apparently added which is you can select within a system now. So you don't just select the system you can actually select the planet \station or what ever.

problematic hehe, my save has been screwed for the last 12 hours lol. People seem to think it's a server(s) getting over loaded which would make sense as a message asks you try again a few minutes later.

It's been working fine for me. No instability past the first hiccups. Some bugs with ramming and ship integrity though. 16% repair for my vulture's integrity is over 380k

There is a bunch of people with the issue and seems to do with traveling far away maybe out of the fraction controlled area(s).

I made it to the home system for Lavingy-Duvall last night, it was a mere 108LY journey, took about 5-6 jumps in the good ol' Cobra. I'm debating downgrading my fuel scoop to allow for me to utilize more power for combat and shields.

While waiting for that download to finish last night I did play a few rounds of SC, it is awesome how different SC and Elite are. But alas...once I got into Elite after the update and got my hour of playtime before the fiance demanded that movie time I promised, I enjoyed flying around, a little combat and the trip I took to enter the new system/area to join a new faction. Looking forward to seeing how 1.3 unfolds and how us TPU Elite pilots handle it.

I plan on sticking mostly to combat, for now...and hoping to earn some serious rank and credits. I plan to beef up my Cobra a bit more before returning to saving up to buy and deck out my combat-centric Viper.

There was a review of Elite, I believe it was on ARS Technica, that the guy put it best...this is one of those games, that even if you don't have much time to play it, you end up thinking about it...a lot...far more than one probably should. It's been that way since last summer for me!

I'm at the HQ and I'm constantly getting interdicted by Fed, Alliance and Pirate jerks. I think the HQ system needs some sort of reinforcement.
