Huh? I to am a long time Newegg customer, since 2001. Not once have they ever done me dirty. They have arguably the biggest inventory of the newest parts when it comes to computer components on the net. Their search/filter is excellent. No one can say that Amazons search/filter is better then Newegg. I have bought from both, and much prefer the Newegg experience. Price matching though, honestly that is not my thing. I just do my research/web crawling, and find the best deal myself and purchase from the cheapest site. I have found some good future go to sites doing my own leg work.

I don't really care much about the search function on their website. But I have made thousands of dollars of purchases from Newegg and their service is going to shit that's not an opinion it's a fact(in my & others experience). I can certainly respect the fact that your experience is different ,and I'm glad for that. Unfortunately though the fact of the matter is many users are experiencing poor service from Newegg. Stating that you haven't experienced poor service is kind of like saying you haven't gotten sick recently, that doesn't rule out the fact that millions of others have. Certainly a dramatic analogy but accurate nonetheless. I know that they recently sold out to a Chinese company but as far as I can tell the poor service began before that. Amazon has much better customer experience from my point of view.

Heck most people in UK will State Newegg American Company they don't Sell to the UK
While they now have a UK presence/site
They seem to be short on product range and expensive

It's gotten to the point when I place a bad review blaming Newegg ,I actually get emails in return saying that review was removed even though there was no profanity or other vulgar content. Ever since I filed the Better Business Bureau claim they seem to be grumpy with me. F'em.


I guess you be after Amazon gift cards for now on huh ?.

I forget who it was with but someone used the Newegg UK site to send me a gift card which the Newegg US site will not allow redemption of because it's in pounds or whatever you guys use. I was like are you kidding me you're the same damn company you didn't convert the monetary unit into you Usd?!?

I actually have a folder in my Gmail account just for Newegg gift cards it has well over 70 or 80 entries. I've managed to go through them all and give them away or use them to buy stuff for people who need it I think I've gotten all of them redeemed

So i have a interesting addition to the "neweggs price match is worthless" thread. :)

I just got an email from their PM team, or support or whoever it is that contacts you regarding Price match. They seemed very polite, and willing to help me, as well as apologetic about any delay (ofc it is the busy season). Ill just put the screen shot from the Email, and lets see if anyone can spot the problem with neweggs price match in my case.

Spoiler: it took a year for them to respond!

no , the 1 year response time was the GLARING problem i was referring to. if there was More than that, it wouldnt be too good. i always said the response time on their PM was worthless, due to it being too long, but this is RIDICULOUS!

I think you've missed the fact that at newegg, it's Christmas all year round, so they're of course completely flooded with work 24/7/365. :p Also, they have a mental block on the word "amazon", hence don't know which competitor you're referring to. This is clearly a company that you should give all your money to...

So, did you get your item from Amazon in the end, then?

Where would the typo be? In gmails servers? I know when i sent the email. It was before Christmas 2016. I know when I got this reply email, it was about three hours ago 2017. Incidentally I didn't buy it either ,at least I didn't buy it from Newegg ibought it from Amazon

Yup, i3 4170 ordered b4 xmas 2016. It was my nephew Colby's 2016 Christmas present, I built it on New Year's eve ,which is how I remember the situation also because it was only a year ago & my memories not that bad yet:rolleyes:

FYI... the only time the BBB will actually take any action against a company is if you can show, beyond a doubt, that they actually did something wrong, as in violate a state or federal law that pertains to consumer commerce, such as false advertising, sending you something other than what you ordered, and/or refusing to work with you to resolve an issue....

But you MUST have proof such as written documentation, receipts, logs of phone calls and/or emails with the names, dates and numbers of who you contacted etc etc, or else they just chalk it up to you wanting to vent and/or blame someone for a screw-up...

Yes you can post negative feedback about the company, but you have to be extremely careful what you say and how you word it, because some companies will wait a month or so after you filed yourcomplaint, and then come after you for defamation of character, damage to their reputation, and loss of revenue.

This has been happening alot on places like Yelp, where people have left negative feedback about their experiences with a particular company, and then received a summons/subpeona requiring them to appear in court to defend what they said in the feedback, and end up having to pay court costs, attorneys fees (theirs and the company's) and all other kinds of seriously bad complications...like being banned for life from ever going to the resturaunt again...

Unless its been changed the consumer review freedom law, will cover me as an American. My posts are truthful, & i stand behind that.
