I don' think anybody is too concerned about DRM and it's kinda hard to pity the devs. They will more than likely get paid the same either way and If CDPR wanted to drive more sales thru GoG then giving out exclusive in game content thru steam seems like a strange way to go about it?

Downloaded a 10GB update not long ago... Still cant play the game :roll:

and the sad thing about this is i gotta be up at 8.30am tomorrow so i dont have all night to spend playing the game when it finally goes live.

Remember that steam giveaway ages ago where they selected random "lucky" people to win stuff on their wishlist? Yeh, this was the game I won.

It's been a long time now that I've had it in my library and I can't believe that tonight I'll get to finally check it out

They don’t get paid the same either way. On GOG, owned by CD Projekt, they get 100% of the funds. On Steam, Valve takes its cut.

As to exclusive content, I will take the 50 page illistrated novel exclusive content from GOG before I take a short game short story. And both get avatars and wallpapers etc, so winner: GOG for me.

doesn't change the fact that they gave people incentive to buy on steam.

By the way, a 50 page illustrated novel, really? lol don't get me wrong...that's cool, i guess. But i think more people are interested in the game itself. When buying a game, extra game content sounds more enticing to me rather than a picture book. To each it's own though. At the end of the day it's the game i'm invested into not the merch. Plenty of good novels to read out there and spoiler alert; most of them don't have pictures in them

"Being all tribal" ey? interesting accusation. I call it being realistic. Im not for or against steam. I'm also not for or against GoG, I'm just pointing out that if driving more sales thru GoG was a priority, they didn't do a great job of it, clearly it wasn't though.

It will likely happen anyway in the long run. GOG ended up having more TW3 sales than any other store, without anything special.

I’m also a 50/50, with about 450 games on each of them.
